Why do they focus on targeting trans women so much compared to trans men? Testosterone is a far more regulated drug than estrogen after all.
Because they live in constant terror of unknowingly finding a trans woman attractive.
Because they fetishize us
Because their only experience with anything involving trans people is in porn, and there is a huge amount of trans-fem content when compared to trans-masc.
So they literally don't think about FtM trans people at all.
It's also why many of them view trans people simply existing as inherently sexual.
That is exactly why they try to pass more laws targetting trans women: testosterone being a controlled substance means that they can regulate that via medication restrictions. Estrogen isn't a controlled substance, meaning you can buy it pretty much anywhere for any reason. So to stop trans people who want estrogen, usually trans women, they have to pass other laws.
Also, a lot of bills do actually target all groups of trans people, but people will report it as only impacting trans women. The Supreme Court UK decision is a particularly bad example, where trans women were banned from women's restrooms and locker rooms and trans men were banned from both mens AND women's spaces. Most reporting only said it restricted trans women and didn't even mention that it affected trans men, or that trans men were even worse off for it.
I wish you could buy estrogen anywhere for any reason. I'm no longer in the US but was still having trouble getting it in 2025. I started taking it in 2014.
