One journalist said that "the massacres are multiplying" as IDF bombing kills hundreds of Lebanese and Palestinian civilians, and US-Israeli strikes kill and wound thousands of Iranians.

The new Supreme Leader of Iran lost his father (the old Supreme Leader), his mother, his wife, and his daughter in the initial bombings.

How likely is he to negotiate with IsrAmerica in good faith? All he's going to think about for the rest of his life is revenge.

Even if he wanted to negotiate. Isramerica is not a reasonable force to negotiate with. They have attack iran while they were in the midst of negotiations twice.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 5 points 2 days ago

Valid. They aren't the problem, we are.

I'm not sure that dumbfucks like Kegbreth understand this. Hopefully they'll be out of office in a few years, maybe they'll have a security detail but they will always be vulnerable to a determined and skilled Iranian assassin.

Oh yeah, these MAGAs are the dumbest dipshits on the planet. They literally NEVER stop to wonder what the consequences of their actions will be. They are just completely in for the initial wicked cool explosion, without ever considering the response, which is usually easily predictable. They just think the first punch will totally end it, and then they can celebrate.

Then their initial strike doesn't finish the job, because they're virtuosically incompetent, and did no planning at all, and they are shocked when rockets start coming back at them, and terrorism starts popping off in America.

And NOBODY can blame them, we would do the same thing if someone just bombed us out of the blue. In fact, we did do the same thing, when they did 9/11. We went over there and made their lives miserable for 2 decades. That's what Iran is going to do to us, and we totally deserve it. Thanks Trump.

These clowns have failed upwards their entire miserable lives. This is what extreme privilege looks like, a bunch of frat boys who stopped maturing in high school who think they can win a war when they don't even have a clue what a win would look like.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 2 days ago

My only objections to your post is that they stopped maturing in EARLY Middle School.

We want to believe they are dumb, but they managed to steal control of the most powerful nation on the planet. Someone on that side is smart whether we want to admit it or not.

[–] PhoenixDog@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Because as fucking dumb as the MAGA administration is, a large chunk of the American population is so... SO much dumber.

[–] bagsy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They are dumb as shit, there is no denying. That makes their win so much more embarrasing for liberals and progressives. How did we get beat so badly by a 87 year old dementia patient with with a 75 IQ? Are we even dumber than maga?

I think it is because normal people aren't excessively greedy. A recurring feature for many of our 'leaders' is that they are motivated by profit first and foremost. Schuemer and Jefferies are more than happy to roll over, if it gets them a treat from a donor.

Both sides of your Uniparty are guilty of harrassing Iran and creating the circumstances that led to this mass murder.
Genocide Joe did not return to the nuclear deal since they deliberately added more unrealistic conditions.
He pretentiously said they needed to 'come back into compliance'.

The US regime does not tolerate countries that don't bend to their will, especially countries with oil and strategic importance.
Despite of the many innocent victims I'm glad this confrontation happens now.
It was bound to happen and since this administration is incompetent they don't know how to handle their gigantic mistake.
What is also bipartisan is the delusion of military might.
It's barely a few years since they ran in the night from their last base in Afghanistan.
Iraq has similar results, they can only remain in the Kurdish region (for now).
The US will flat out lose this conflict.
And now they made another gigantic blunder in attacking Kharg Island.

The final result will be the total retreat from the ME and possible loss of their vassal states.
The US terrorist state indeed deserves this.

when they did 9/11

Afghanistan did not do 9/11.
Even if you don't believe it was a false flag at most it was a Saudi, Bin Laden that was behind it.
The flimsy excuse for going to war was that he was somewhere in Afghanistan.
