We want to believe they are dumb, but they managed to steal control of the most powerful nation on the planet. Someone on that side is smart whether we want to admit it or not.
Because as fucking dumb as the MAGA administration is, a large chunk of the American population is so... SO much dumber.
They are dumb as shit, there is no denying. That makes their win so much more embarrasing for liberals and progressives. How did we get beat so badly by a 87 year old dementia patient with with a 75 IQ? Are we even dumber than maga?
I think it is because normal people aren't excessively greedy. A recurring feature for many of our 'leaders' is that they are motivated by profit first and foremost. Schuemer and Jefferies are more than happy to roll over, if it gets them a treat from a donor.
