There are a lot of decent people working for the government that do an amazing job given the constraints they are put under.
But thank you for your nuanced take, I guess?
I remember when I first swapped to Lemmy nuanced discussions were numerous, been seeing a lot of relatively new accounts stirring up shit and doing the classic "I'm gonna make them look so stupid huehuehue"
You're right though, despite the fact there are a lot of sociopaths and psychopaths in government positions, there are a lot of social workers and general day to day folks that are normal or go above and beyond to try and help their community with what little power they have.
