Naive to a laughable degree. The US is effectively an island nation with weak, unaggressive neighbors and has what's generally considered the strongest navy in the world.

Even if it turns out it's the second strongest the first would then be China and they're not declaring war on much less invading anyone with as many nukes as America has.

Well I clearly hope I'm wrong but the incompetence being shown right now is really diminishing the strength we've been projecting

I think China had much more to gain by completely crashing the US economy and becoming the world Electronics design hub as well as manufacturing. They don't need more land and definitely wouldn't want to deal with US citizens as far as administration goes.
