Fly, ant, owl, cat, dog, cow... I don’t understand the point of the initial tweet?

They just said pig

[–] Pricklesthemagicfish@reddthat.com 7 points 9 hours ago (1 children)

Leave my mother in law out of this. Ha "Ram"

3 separate letters, some just repeat, so the commenter is technically right since the question didn't specify only 3 letters.

Deer also works

[–] Catoblepas@piefed.blahaj.zone 22 points 18 hours ago (3 children)

No, I get the reply. It’s the initial tweet (what animal has only three letters in it) that I don’t get the point of.

[–] Zoomboingding@lemmy.world 6 points 7 hours ago

Engagement bait. It's to farm karma for bot accounts usually.

[–] toddestan@lemmy.world 9 points 16 hours ago (3 children)

Hence the reason it's almost certainly fake. Even a 5 year-old could easily rattle off several animals with three letters in them without much thought.

Now if it was something like what animals has only two letters in it, that's something most people would actually have to think about.

spoilerMy answer: Ox

[–] Redjard@reddthat.com 1 points 1 hour ago

Only one besides Ox I can think of is K9.

[–] Redjard@reddthat.com 1 points 1 hour ago

With the repeated letter rule, tit or ass would also work.

[–] parzival@lemmy.org 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

SpoilerOx

Aren't really different from bulls, just different intended use cases and reproductive statuses

[–] Pricklesthemagicfish@reddthat.com 1 points 9 hours ago* (last edited 9 hours ago) (1 children)

Bull works. Even the spanish "toro"

[–] parzival@lemmy.org 1 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

I don't think the wording of the prompt allows for repeated letters to be one

[–] Pricklesthemagicfish@reddthat.com 1 points 24 minutes ago

they should have programmed it that way then

[–] FelixCress@lemmy.world 2 points 17 hours ago

What did you expect from a sheep?

I was actually aiming for "auk" but it was late and my linux brain took over.

An excellent observation no wonder they called you awk eyes in boot camp.

Eel, ray, rat, bat… is this engagement bait for people who think they’re smart the way that AI slop with veterans with no limbs and ‘NOBODY WILL TELL HIM HAPPY BIRTHDAY 😢’ is engagement bait for the moderately senile?

Or maybe just fake, who knows.

This is the old times fun you had in road trips before you became a soulless shiny glass zombie. That and globbering your younger brother when he foolishly replies "yes" to "would you like an hawaiian punch?"
