Video Description:

Dave Grusch is a former 14-year high ranking intelligence officer who left government in early '23 to blow the whistle on UFO’s. In 2019, he was tasked by the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency and Pentagon to investigate UFO’s as part of the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomenon Task Force (or UAPTF). In that context, he slowly started to uncover a covert UFO reverse engineering program being concealed from the civilian government. In June of '23, he outed himself to the public. In July of '23, he testified before Congress. We sat down for hours and talked about the entire history of UFO's, UFO and Atomic secrecy, Presidents and their relationships to UFO's and the insane world of Anti-Gravity research.

12:00 onwards - Grusch outlines that leakers are under penalty of imprisonment and execution.

16:50 onward “non human Biologics” he stated in an interview previously they’re pilots and he doesn’t know what their actual job was. They were “nonhuman intelligence” pilots.

18:00 onward he was cleared by the Pentagon to talk about this.

19:00 onward Grusch insinuates that the initial reasoning for hiding the information was the ontological shock it would cause in society due to society’s religiousness at the time, along with concealing the information from adversaries like Russia.

20:40 onward - the officials involved in the Manhattan Project also created the laws related to obfuscation and secrecy of the topic. 21:28 - retrieved UAP materials that give off radiation are classified under the Atomic Energy Act (intentionally).

23:00 onward - there was a deeper classified project (related to the Manhattan Project) studying UFOs aside from Project Blue Book

28:00 onward- Grusch states that it’s hard to tell how far ahead their (the nonhuman intelligence) technology is. “It’s hard to state how far in advance it is. You’re just assuming some sort of linear progression. They’ve made an asymptotal leap that put them over the edge. They’re similarly as advanced as us but they’ve had an asymmetric evolution they went a different path than us. While we’ve made nuclear weapons, they’ve made a propulsion discovery but they’re not that much more advanced than you and I”.

29:50- Grusch states that once we unlocked nuclear power we made major technological strides. We may be one discovery away from manipulating spacetime.

30:29- the UFOs are interested in our nuclear technology.

36:00 onward - Grusch references Lue Elizondo’s comment on the ETs studying us and it’s possible the UFO crashes were intentionally seeded to test humanity’s development in relation to being exposed to this technology.

42:00 onwards - there may have been scientific breakthroughs that were hidden from the public.

44:00 - Dr Hal Puthoff of the Pentagon insinuates that antigravity research did get somewhere (made progress) and then was hidden.

47:00 onward - UFO metamaterials are discussed.

59:50- the connection of the “UFO Disclosure” movement (and intentional disinformation) to the “elite” is described by the host.

1:04:00 onwards - there’s a long history of “UFO debunkers” being directly linked to government organizations that have actually studied UAP.

1:17:28- this portion is interesting since it references information that Elizondo and Dr Garry Nolan have stated.

For background, Elizondo (Pentagon), Dr. Garry Nolan (accomplished academic who was approached by the CIA to study UAPs, also stated they told him information regarding the beings operating the crafts), and John Ramirez [CIA- was referenced as having worked there separately by Jim Semivan of the CIA, referenced in this article (https://www.benzinga.com/amp/content/34082411) have all stated, in summary, that members within the defense establishment believe these beings are bioengineered AI.

Grusch notably references this at this time stamp as a possibility to what these beings are. If you notice, he goes out of his way to reference specifically what Elizondo had stated in a past interview, that the ETs are designed to look humanoid to interact with humans. (In Elizondo’s interview, he brought up an example of how zookeepers in China disguise themselves as pandas to interact with the pandas, and what we are seeing is a similar situation).

1:19:30- ETs being our descendants from the future is discussed. The host describes this as being a possible reason for the ET non-interventionism. As in, they don’t want to harm the timeline too much such that their own existence is nullified. (My note: it would be interesting if some of what people have witnessed is in fact humans from the future that have mastered ET propulsion and time travel technology, which is why they only appear fleetingly in some instances and choose not to intervene in major events).

1:27:00 onward - military sensory systems disproportionately detect UFOs since their collection mechanisms are more advanced than what’s available to the average person.

1:32:30 onward - Grusch details how being on the Autism spectrum have shaped his interactions.

Grusch background (wiki): David Charles Grusch is a decorated Afghanistan combat veteran and former Air Force intelligence officer[1] who worked in the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).[2][3][4][5] From 2019 to 2021, he was the representative of the NRO to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force.[3][4][6] From late 2021 to July 2022, he was the co-lead for UAP analysis at the NGA and its representative to the task force.[2] He assisted in drafting the National Defense Authorization Act of 2023,[7] which includes provisions for reporting of UFOs, including whistleblower protections and exemptions to non-disclosure orders and agreements.[8][9][10] Congressional interest in UFO sightings immediately prior to Grusch's public claims surrounded questions about the four objects that the Air Force shot down in February 2023.[11]

TL;DR - Please remain civil and follow the community rules listed in the sidebar.

UAP Community,

I hope this message finds you well. As our community continues to expand, we will undoubtedly attract individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences. UAP and The Phenomenon as a whole have been associated with a myriad of sightings and encounters.

Whether you deem this as mere nonsense, believe in it wholeheartedly, or are just here to gain a deeper understanding, I urge everyone to maintain civility. It's perfectly acceptable to downvote or disagree while providing your reasoning. However, derogatory statements lacking substance will no longer be tolerated. From this point onwards, such remarks will be deleted, and the responsible user will be warned. Lemmy logs any actions taken by mods for the sake of transparency.

To the ardent believers and those who've experienced these phenomena firsthand, I want to ensure you feel safe and encouraged to share your stories. I also ask for your patience and a willingness to seek common ground with our more skeptical members. Conversely, I urge the skeptics among us to approach this topic with an open mind and humility.

Before offering commentary, I recommend investing some time in researching classic UAP cases—our sidebar offers valuable resources. I personally recommend the excellent post An Extensive Collection of Compelling Evidence and My Rational Defense of the Existence of UAP by user GONADS125. It becomes evident who has genuinely delved into the subject and who has merely skimmed it. Most skeptics who've taken the time to research may still desire further evidence or data, while those unfamiliar with the topic often resort to derogatory comments or dismissive gestures.

This distinction will become even more pronounced when discussions veer into more controversial or 'woo' territories. If you're unsure what I mean, you might need to acquaint yourself more with the subject matter.

Apologies for the lengthy message; I'll conclude now. Remember, we are all members of the human family. We've gathered in this community driven by a shared curiosity about the nature of our existence and our role within the cosmos. I welcome each one of you, regardless of your beliefs or backgrounds. Please, enter this community with an open heart and mind and leave your ego and any preconceptions at the door. Whether there's a mundane explanation for UAP, or the reality is more mystifying than we can comprehend, our collective quest for understanding continues.

Thank you all for your time and understanding. Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

2025 UAP Records in Review (open.substack.com)
submitted 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago) by HM05_Me@lemmy.world to c/uap@lemmy.world

2025 should have been a big year for UAP records, but fell short of expectations. The UAP record transfers established in the 2024 NDAA were due to the National Archives (NARA) by September 30, 2025. Records would have 30 days from receipt to be available in person and 180 days to be made available online. Even considering the government shut down, records should now be publicly available at their College Park, MD location. However, the National Archives has yet to provide an update on what additional records may be available in person.

At the beginning of 2025 I started to send out FOIAs requesting the lists of UAP records each agency identified for transfer to NARA.

20 agencies responded that my FOIAs didn’t return any results, 14 agencies have not responded to my FOIAs or emails, and only 4 agencies yielded any form of results.

So where do the UAP record transfers stand?

What was added to the National Archives?

The only agencies to have UAP records added to the National Archives’ online catalog this year were the FAA, NRC, NSA, ODNI, and OSD.

The FAA’s records seem to be new, consisting of air traffic reports. While the other agencies mostly transferred records previously available to the public.

And, while drafting this post, the NRC’s page has been updated with 6 new records. The new records mainly seem to be about UAP reporting and AARO. The NRC originally provided me with a list of 3 records, which were in the first batch uploaded to NARA. At that time, the remaining UAP records were in contention with NARA. These new records have redactions, which could have been a compromise to get them released. Since, they just popped up I haven’t had time for a thorough review.

All of these records can be viewed in Record Group 615

A break down of the first batch of records for the FAA, NRC, ODNI, and OSD can be found in my post National Archives UAP Records Upload (01) and a breakdown of the second batch with NSA’s in NSA’s UAP Records and the Government Shutdown.

What remains to be added?

The only additional agencies confirmed to have UAP records to be added are the Air Force, NARA, and potentially FBI.

Air Force

The Air Force released a list of 30 records being transferred, but it is unclear when those were or will be transferred. See my post, Air Force’s UAP Records, for the list of records being transferred.

FBI

The FBI appears to have compiled a list of UAP records to transfer to NARA, but the list was withheld from FOIA release. It is unclear how many of the records identified will be for public release or will be withheld after transferring.

The material you requested is currently in draft form which is exempt from disclosure pursuant to Title 5 U.S.C. § 552 (b)(1), and (b)(5). The information was also reviewed under the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Title 5, U.S.C. § 552, and the material is exempt in its entirety pursuant to subsection (b)(7)(E). 5 U.S.C. § 552(b)(1) exempts from disclosure records that are:

(A) specifically authorized under criteria established by an Executive Order to be kept secret in the interest of national defense or foreign policy; and (B) are in fact properly classified pursuant to such Executive Order.

In applying these exemptions, the FBI determined the records responsive to your request are in draft form; that the documents are pre-decisional and deliberative. As such, release of the draft records could reasonably be expected to interfere with the interests protected by the deliberative process. These records are also law enforcement records, the release of which could reasonably be expected to interfere with enforcement proceedings or risk circumvention of the law, therefore, your request is being closed.

NARA

The National Archives themselves have UAP records that were previously in their possession that have still not been digitized or added to their UAP collection. I have reached out on multiple occasions and have not received any clear answers. Some examples:

These are just some of the records I found with place holders online. It is unclear if additional UAP records exist at NARA that aren’t listed online.

What won’t be added?

NASA

NASA confirmed that they have UAP records, but won’t be transferring any due to them being owned by the DoD.

“Per the requirements in Section 1841-1842 of the Fiscal Year 2024 National Defense Authorization Act for handling records related to unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP), NASA does not have any records that meet the requirements to submit records to the National Archives. Any agency-related records associated with UAP, came from, and are owned by, the U.S. Department of Defense.”

-NASA Office of Communications

Records withheld from release

As outlined in the 2024 NDAA, agencies can transfer records to NARA that will be withheld from public release. The potential release of these records has been a point of contention between agencies and NARA, with the public left in the dark. I have reached out to NARA to see if any insight could be provided on the scale of records withheld, but have yet to receive any response.

What remains unclear?

Many of my FOIA for lists of UAP records identified for transfer to NARA remain unanswered. The CIA, NOAA, NTSB, and plenty of DoD agencies have yet to provide a response to my FOIAs. NOAA has followed up on multiple occasions to state that they are working on the request, but the other agencies are in limbo. Whether these agencies have records being transferred remains to be seen.

Under the radar

Something seemed to fly under the radar in UAP news. Did you miss the job posting from Booz Allen Hamilton for Counterintelligence and HUMINT Operations Officer, Senior? Requirements included “Experience conducting comprehensive records reviews of U.S. government agencies, including archived and classified materials, for information about Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) activities” and “Ability to assess, plan, and execute site surveys of government facilities, archives, and locations linked to alleged historical UAP activity”.

This was a short lived job posting that appeared to have been up for less than a week. Who the client is for the role is unclear, but this is a unique role that I had not seen pop up before.

Made a post two years ago on Reddit about a battle that happened a really long time ago in Germany in 1561 (Nuremburg Phenomnenon) in the sky. Which got me glued to formerly* Twitter looking for videos of UAP fighting each other or having at least some sort of engagement. Heres a small collection of these clips:

Watch very closely at 11-12 seconds, may need to pause whatever zooms around where the light was.

A year or so back I was walking to work around 5am and I saw a sizable H shape silently fall across the sky at a pretty rapid speed. Maybe 5-10x the speed of a satellite. Far quicker than anything I've ever seen cross the sky of human origin. It's hard to articulate the size, but I guess if you held a mandarin orange out toward the sky at arm's length, it would have just covered the size of this thing to the naked eye.

To better describe it, it looked like dim white stars forming a perfect H-shaped constellation. At least 7 points (one connecting the two rows on either side). It made no noise, had no other lights, and soared overhead at the speed I would imagine an F5 might fly overhead. It was going.

My initial thought was maybe the ISS, despite it not being remotely that close to earth to form that shape. I checked the live map and it was on the other side of the world. I checked the ~~Space-X~~ StarLink live map and there were barely any over Canada at the time, and what were there were sparse and formed no shapes.

I've never seen anything like it since, but I'm always watching on those early morning walks.

I realize this is, by definition, a UAP, but I'm wondering if anyone else has ever seen one that matched this description? It's not my only UAP experience, but it's by far the most unique I've witnessed.

The National Archives uploaded their first batch of transferred UAP records on 04/24/25. Records from the FAA, NRC, ODNI, and OSD are the only agencies included so far. This release mirrors the responses I have received so far from my contacts and FOIA requests to federal agencies. Of agencies to complete my FOIA requests for lists of UAP records identified for transfer to NARA, only the FAA and NRC yielded any results. The records uploaded to NARA’s site for ODNI have previously been released and most of the OSD’s records have been previously been released.

Records are being sent to NARA on a rolling basis and there could potentially be more to come for these and other agencies. Though, this release highlights the issue of lack of visibility on the progress and communication between agencies and NARA. Are there additional records that NARA has received that are publicly available, but not uploaded? Are there agencies that have confirmed to NARA that they do not have records to transfer? How many agencies have identified records that will be withheld from release?

I have been seeking to have the metadata spreadsheets of records identified by each agency be made publicly available so that the progress of transfers can be tracked. However, NARA has often dodged this request. At this time, the public just has to wait and hope that work is being down to insure records are being transferred.

Let’s take a look at what we have with this first batch…

Federal Aviation Administration

In the spreadsheet released in response to my FOIA there were 651 records that the FAA had identified for transfer, but only 575 uploaded to NARA’s site. 13 of these records were marked as “Confidential” and to be “Withheld in Full” with the exemption “Full Denial-- (SORN 845, 847, Privacy Act; K2 Exemption, FOIA Ex.3, Ex.6”. These are from the FAA Hotline & Whistleblower Information System (FHWIS), so naturally there could be identifying information that may need to be redacted. However, instead of releasing redacted documents, the FAA seems to be opting to fully withhold these records.

This leaves 62 records that are “Unclassified”, but not uploaded to NARA’s site. There also doesn’t seem to be placeholder pages identifying that NARA has possession of the records, but that they are not currently available online. All records being transferred as part of this record transfer are to be digitized before being sent to NARA, so if NARA has them then they could have been uploaded with the rest. This suggests that these records were not transferred with the rest or they’re a part of contention between the FAA and NARA, as we’ll see with the NRC.

Nuclear Regulatory Commission

The NRC released 3 records which match the 3 records listed in the spreadsheet released in response to my FOIA. These have also been previously available on NRC’s ADAMs database.

https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML2423/ML24234A061.pdf

https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML2424/ML24241A137.pdf

https://www.nrc.gov/docs/ML2424/ML24241A242.pdf

Though, more importantly, there is a second list that is being withheld. As noted in the response to my FOIA:

"The first list is enclosed; the second list is withheld at this time, as it remains the subject of deliberations between NRC and NARA records staff."

This was to be expected, as the NDAA left open room for records to be transferred to NARA, but withheld from public release. However, no information is being shared on the type of records or even how many are being withheld.

Office of the Director of National Intelligence

NARA has uploaded 4 ODNI records, all of which have been previously released.

  • Fiscal Year 2024 Consolidated Annual Report on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena

  • Fiscal Year 2023 Consolidated Annual Report on Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena October 2023

  • Preliminary Assessment: Unidentified Aerial Phenomena

  • 2022 Annual Report on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena

Office of the Secretary of Defense

NARA has uploaded 30 OSD records, of which 5 are potentially new to the public and 25 have previously been released. It’s also possible that some are too new to have been added online or they could have been a part of previous FOIA releases. I’ll provide updates if I come across any reference to these online.

The National Archives (NARA) has released their initial batch of Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) records transferred as a result of the 2024 NDAA. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), and Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) now have UAP records publicly available on the National Archives website. However, these are not complete records for these agencies, nor are all federal agencies accounted for.

I have been reaching out to federal agencies for some time now and have submitted FOIA requests at the request of these agencies. Of the agencies I have contacted, only two have provided results to my FOIAs. The FAA provided a list of 651 records being transferred, of which 575 seem to be uploaded. And, the NRC provided 3 records, but noted that another list is “withheld at this time, as it remains the subject of deliberations between NRC and NARA records staff.”

The records released by ODNI and OSD appear to be records previously released by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). It was confirmed to me by the Air Force/Space Force that all Department of Defense (DoD) UAP records will be transferred to AARO, who will then transfer to NARA. This creates a bottleneck for the defense records at AARO where additional records could be withheld or delayed.

I have a list on Substack of agencies I have contacted and the responses received so far. Naturally, this update came while I’m on vacation, so I’ll dig into this more once I return.

cross-posted from: https://tucson.social/post/1320798

Hi Folks!

With all the recent hysteria around drones/orbs right now. I wanted to offer a clear guide on how to get the best results when attempting to photo or video something you see.

If someone thinks they see a UFO - please know that quality is paramount right now. You should treat it like such. This isn't something folks can just whip out a phone and try and capture without contributing to the already-bad data. Given how long this mystery has persisted, I've been really surprised at how low effort most evidence is. Is this not important? Don't we want to get to the bottom of things? Well then, read on, here's how:

  1. ALWAYS- Validate what you are seeing with public data. Use AR Astronomy apps to rule out bright stars and planets. Use AR Flight Radar apps to rule out commercial planes. Also ensure you aren't looking at a lens flair by comparing against other light patterns in the image.
  2. ALWAYS- Use a tripod or stabilization of some sort and film from a stationary area. Even a mini tripod is better than nothing. Oh, and pull over if you're driving or ask to pull over if you are a passenger. This is important enough to pull over for right?
  3. ALWAYS- Lock your focus to infinity. You might need a 3rd party app to do it. Anything further than a few hundred feet doesn't need a focus wheel - just go straight to "infinity" or as far out focus as you can and lock it.
  4. TRY - To get as much data as possible. Is the orb still there? Do you have battery? Don't stop recording! 6 second snippets are a trend worth fighting against.
  5. TRY - Astrophotography mode if your phone supports it. It stacks thousands of exposures and tries to increase detail. Stop the capture if the subject moves to avoid streaks.
  6. TRY - Lucky imaging if you don't have an Astro mode on your phone. This means locking your shutter speed to 1 second, with a moderate-high ISO (about 3/4 of the way to max ISO) and taking images continuously. This can later be stacked in a photo editor or astronomy stacker where you can fine tune the image and get insane amounts of detail.
  7. TRY - To use a telescopic lens OR mount your camera to a telescope of some type. Many of the videos suggest that these anomalies are often stationary for long enough to be viewable in astronomy telescopes.

If you follow these tips, you'll get better photos than 90% of what's being shared recently. Even if you're using a smartphone.

Anyone else have good tips?

According to Kosloski, “There are interesting [UFO] cases that I, with my physics and engineering background and time in the [intelligence community], I do not understand. And I don’t know anybody else who understands them either.”

We’re going to need the help of academia and the public to address some of these.

Let's assume for this discussion that some few NHI craft have been recovered and studied to the point where some technology can re gleaned if not reverse engineered. We also assume that humans have been working to get technology from these craft for decades.

People can be smart when correctly applied and organized so it's possible that Alien Reproduction Vehicles have been designed and created for decades by humans, and that many or most UAP sightings are of the ARVs and not from NHI.

We've heard allegations that the actual NHI craft have an unknown power source, that they can perform thousands of Gs, stay up in the air for prolonged times, and move without a thermal signature.

Imagine that we had solid proof that this would work a long time ago, we might have spent a lot of time perfecting it in secret so that companies or countries might have this technology and we are just beginning to see the first use of it prior to potential large scale war.

new technologies often emerge in war time, things like planes, metal hulled ships, tanks, even the popularity of bananas in the US, and much more have arisen during war time, and this may be like 1914 with airplanes for what we are going to see in out future with the proliferation of technology such as this.

Now here are some of the potential things we can do with this technology, if we had it according to a 2009 DIRD:

"If an ultra-high-intensity HFGW flux impinges on a nucleus 1 it is possible that it could initiate nuclear fusion at a remote location"

"HFGWs could theoretically be used for propulsion and control of the motion of objects... and remote control of clouds of .. vapors. Gravitational field changes by one or more HFGW generators could urge a spacecraft in a given direction, causing a lower static gravitational field in front of a vehicle (it "falls" forward) and a higher one behind (providing a "push"). The concept is that the mass essentially "rolls" down a "hill"... 1975,"

"A novel means of imaging or HFGW surveillance ... for observing activities and materials in three dimensions, within and below structures and within the Earth and its oceans. Gravitational waves, including HFGWs, pass through most material with little or no attenuation; but although they are not absorbed, their polarization .. phase velocity .. refraction or bending of gravitational rays), backscatter, and/or other characteristics can be modified by a material object's texture and internal structure"

", but one can certainly speculate that the human need for connectedness and communication knows no bounds. " they mean this about like phones but I want to leave it last for what communicate can give us.
