UIs we host

We offer the following Lemmy UIs:

Rules

  1. Be civil
  2. Don't discriminate against anyone

Please note that moderation is done at the moderator's discretion. Don't worry, we only use bans or comment deletions when there is no other way to fix the situation.

Defederation policy

We only use the option to defederate instances only when it is absolutely necessary. So far we have defederated from hexbear.net, lemmygrad.ml, clubsall.com and threads.net due to how horrible Meta is to privacy and how they abuse their dominant position in the social media market. Permanent Record is a great book about such things in case you're interested.

The domain name

This instance is named "gregtech" simply because my name is Gregor, and I didn't check whether there is already something called "gregtech" before registering my domain name. Yes, even EU, which is a thing in the minecraft mod, is simply a coincidence. I guess you can also post about Gregtech, the minecraft mod, here.

The deal – which will grant EU fishers access to British waters for an additional 12 years – will remove checks on a significant number of food products as well as a deeper defence partnership and agreements on carbon taxes.

The UK said the deal would make “food cheaper, slash red tape, open up access to the EU market”. But the trade-off for the deal was fishing access and rights for an additional 12 years – more than the UK had offered – which is likely to lead to cries of betrayal from the industry.

The two sides will also begin talks for a “youth experience scheme”, first reported in the Guardian, which could allow young people to work and travel freely in Europe again and mirror existing schemes the UK has with countries such as Australia and New Zealand.

The government said it would put £360m of modernisation support back into coastal communities as part of the deal, a tacit acknowledgment of the concession.

The car bombing outside a California fertility clinic that killed one person and injured four others appears to have been driven by anti-natalist ideology, according to two senior law enforcement officials briefed on the incident.

The suspect, identified by authorities as Guy Edward Bartkus, is believed to have carried out Saturday's explosion, which resulted in his own death.

Investigators are focusing on social media posts made by the suspect, including a 30-minute audio recording, which they say support anti-natalist views. While the posts and the recording are still being verified, officials believe they reflect the ideology behind the bombing. Anti-natalism refers to the belief that no one should have children.

Alt TextTwo panel comic inside a car with two characters in the first panel.

The passenger, a voluptuous woman, says "Thanks for picking me up. I know how much you dislike driving."

The driver answers "no problemo, we're just gonna take a detour if you don't mind"

Next panel the passenger says "I really appreciate it, even if you were 4 hours away. You are a really good friend"

A sign warning the road gets bumpy can be seen outside the passenger window.
