Heh. I know this was meant as a joke, but I don't use use GOG (mostly because it has very few games I care to play), but I also don't play those games.

This is what I usually recommend to my friends who are interested if they have the hardware to spare. Sometimes I even gift them a machine if I have one to spare (mostly back when hardware was cheaper). This way you can also try out multiple distros without caring to find out which one you like best as well.

You can buy x86 mini PCs for less now with only a minor hit to power consumption (they use slightly more power). I used to love Pis for home labbing, but I have switched to mini PCs for it.
