What a waste of a speech. No details at all. Just some stupid platitudes, using the word "truckies" a lot. "We're doing stuff which I won't give details on, but trust us".

Didn't mention at all how over the last 25 years they've closed 6 of 8 refineries, stopped all AU based drilling and extraction and off shored everything. And also during that time reduced our national oil reserves to be the least of any G20 country at 40 days and now the chickens have come home to roost.

Didn't mention it at all... Very surprising.

This smells like a "carrot in a box" level fake out.

Don't blame me. I voted for Kodos!

I think costs will come down. Computers used to take up an entire room. Now I'm typing this reply on a pocket sized device which would seem like a super computer to people from the early 80s

And in most operating systems the wifi icon turns into some other error icon if there's no internet. So I can see the confusion.

You'll be okay. Just relax.

I see the email analogy all the time but I don't think it's the best one.

The fediverse is literally like Usenet or IRC. You log into a server and the servers talk to each other and sync messages behind the scenes.

It's not a new concept. In fact it's going back to the olden way of doing things.
