Neither of those are in Ireland unfortunately.

Unfortunately, our government here is utter shit.

I'm not in the U.S, but this is great advice, thanks!

I've looked for coco coir before, and I couldn't find it in any shops, so I'll probably have to order that online.

I'm not too concerned about them finding it. It's just probably better to ask forgiveness than ask permission here.

Poor choice of words. I have a space outdoors where I can keep the bucket pretty hidden, but it won't grow on its own outside very well.

I don't plan on selling it, I'd just like to try and grow some.

I've looked into it, and the penalties for it aren't that harsh here.

fuck, thats pretty easy.

Don't you have to sterilise the soil and stuff?

[–] throwaway@lemmy.cafe 1 points 3 months ago

I'm not planning on selling it.
I'm planning on keeping it outside.

I was thinking of growing those, but couldn't find a good guide.

[–] throwaway@lemmy.cafe 2 points 3 months ago (2 children)

Really? that's what the guide I'm following told me to do (on the bulb)

[–] throwaway@lemmy.cafe 1 points 3 months ago (7 children)

I'm not going to keep the thing inside.

Hey!

There's some things I am planning on ordering, and I'd like to get them delivered without my parents knowing.

The things in question are some 23w CFL bulbs, e27 sockets, PC fans and a power strip.
I was originally planning on just buying them in person, but literally no shops near me have them.

I can't actually find them anywhere but the american version of amazon -- my country's (Ireland) version of amazon doesn't have them.

I asked a few friends if I could send the things to their house, and get it through them, but all of them said no.

First of all, I don't mean this post as a complaint, maybe more of a warning?

There is teenagers on the fediverse. Most of them don't share their age, for hopefully obvious reasons. I'd say that a lot of the accounts which do a lot of posting/commenting are run by teenagers

because most adults probably wouldn't have the time for that much posting.

While the young people of this generation are generally useless when it comes to something more complicated than microsoft word, the people who are good at technology, usually are very good at it.

most of my friends (most of which don't know the difference between a laptop and a desktop) could understand the fediverse as a concept perfectly when I explained it to them irl.

So, if you're in a really stupid argument with someone, try to remember that there is a small chance they are 14.
