Jeg ville som udgangspunkt ikke tro på noget som Berlingske siger om hverken Enhedslisten eller muslimer. Men de har gemt deres andenrangsjournalistik bag en betalingsmur, så det er umuligt hverken at be- eller afkræfte.

Here you go:

If all goes to plan, the section of Oxford Street that spans from the western end of Selfridges to just past IKEA will be completely closed to vehicles (including cars, buses, taxis, bikes, scooters, and pedicabs).

I don't know, I don't share your pessimism. In my personal experience, most hardware isn't unhackable. Apart from iPhone / iPad (where hardware and software are non-standard, and also made by the same vendor) I struggle to find any examples.

I have installed Linux many times on Chromebooks, where there is some BIOS module that checks for OS "authenticity", but that can be disabled. I have flashed ROMs on android devices many times too. It's sometimes a bit inconvenient, but nothing remotely close to impossible.

Someone will install Linux on them and use them as a cheap barebones computer. I'm sure with a bit of jiggery-pokery they can be repurposed to something useful.

The classroom runs on Chromebooks, Google Classroom, and code.org (AWS). Corporate infrastructure top to bottom.

This is so dystopian. Get the kids hooked on XaaS while they are young, and you'll have a customer for life.

I'm so happy I live in a welfare state, and gee I hope we manage to make the switch away from the US big tech monopoly.

Selvfølgelig kan det koste et liv at afskaffe det. Men det koster nok også liv (og vores demokrati) at beholde det.

Hey skulle vi ikke tage at få smidt Palantir på porten?

While this is certainly interesting news, I am somewhat sceptical of the number which corresponds to about 1/5 of the country's population. I have been looking for another source, but it's not clear where that number comes from. Maybe the unions have reported it?

The UK has some fairly obvious issues with democracy, like when hundreds of XR and Palestine activists are being routinely imprisoned for exercising their right to assemble. Conservatives have been in power on the UK until very recently and these illiberal developments are their doing.

Steve Forbes is part of the national conservative oligarchy that has allowed those attacks on democracy to happen in the first place. I do think the source of information matters. Words are power, and his words are poison.

Come on, that's not serious journalism. It's an opinion piece written by a notorious conservative American media oligarch. Cherry picking examples to support some kind of anti woke narrative. Pull the other one.

The UK is the European country that has most closely attempted to emulate American national conservative capitalism, and what a shit show that has been.

Imagine thinking that Trump is doing this to combat censorship.

I'm guessing that it was made by someone who speaks German.
