What made you want to make the switch? I’m currently on Mint

I'm curious how Voyager for Lemmy is funded. Or is it just community driven so the workload and potential costs are spread out far enough that nobody is footing the bill all by themselves?

I'm trying to keep my iPhone as privacy focused as possible. Yes... I know that android devices can be locked down more than iOS devices but I don't need it to be the most private device ever. I just want to do what I can and block trackers, ads and encrypt my DNS traffic.

I have Adguard Pro, I have not tried NextDNS. But I don't want to have a subscription fee if possible.

Are either of these apps good enough to keep my device as private as it can be or is there more I need to do? Which app would you use or recommend for this?

I might have to check out Jellyfin. Can you run both at the same time?

I'm curious if any of you have ever used Audials. It has some interesting functionality including Audials Vision which has a video AI upscaler. I wonder if this would be effective at upscaling lower resolution videos like DVD quality 480p videos or 720p videos.

Are there any good free alternatives to Gmail or do all the good ones cost money?

I assume so since Gmail makes all its money selling YOU…

Ah I see, ok thank you! I also use Voyager so that is easier

I'm new to Lemmy, coming from Reddit of course. How can I search within a Community (subreddit) within Lemmy to see if there are posts similar to what I am looking for or questions I have?

How does this work?
