Don't forget that immigrants and non-citizens can join the military. Everything he said in that second part is just non-stop racism and delusional.

“If we want to get serious about housing affordability, why not ban Blackstone, one of the largest donors to both parties, from buying up entire neighborhoods and forcing us to rent from them? If we are serious about housing, why not remove the 55 million people here on immigration visas who occupy homes that could go to Americans who have worked, fought, and bled for this country?” he wrote on X.

He was so close, had it going so well, and then decided to say some stupid shit that just ruins his argument.

I don't know if this is a regional only thing but there are brick and mortar restaurant supply stores. You usually need a membership to buy from them but you can bulk buy the same food and supplies that restaurants buy.

Interesting those numbers have largely not changed in 40 years. Honestly I was guessing that we needed way more ATCs since the strike because air traffic has increased so much since then. Do you happen to know why the need for ATCs hasn't really changed?

I think when Reagan fired all the ATCs, they were temporarily replaced with military trained ones until they could hire and train replacements. But that was a time when there was significantly less air travel and less ATCs than we have and need now.

So maybe they might have the military take over some positions? There's no way they could fill every single airport and I doubt that they even have the same training and skill set as commercial ATCs.

But having a military take over of airports is the kind of dictator move that probably makes someone like trump salivate.

I think the surprise here is that WiFi routers were not built with surveillance hardware in mind. At least at first.

If there was an option to buy a router with surveillance sonar vs a router without sonar, I'm sure most people would buy the one without the surveillance hardware. But unfortunately it doesn't seem like anyone has that option if they want to use WiFi.

I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to use helicopters to transport them? Or create a series of drones specifically designed to carry them?

If you look at the data, it tells you about 1/3 of those who are illiterate comes from foreigners so that is not surprising. But the largest demographic of illiterates in the US is white people lol

Also they are functionally illiterate. It's a wide encompassing term that ranges from people who can't read English because they just moved here to people who can only read basic words like stop and go or words they encounter often in life but not much more than that.

I would imagine many people who are functionally illiterate just go to work, watch tv, and sleep.

Unfortunately this is accurate. Half of adults in the US are unable to read past a sixth grade level. 20% are functionally illiterate.
