A simple DEI policy would be, for example, to remove the name from a resume before passing it over to the hiring manager for initial selection. That reduces bias against ethnic groups, religions, or genders.
This should in no way reduce the qualifications of the candidates. Quite the opposite.

Anyway, the NIV translation uses "servant" instead of "slave", which seems bogus to me.
This is actually not true. People are ~~actually more left than~~ mostly the same ideologically as when they were younger, even though the right wing takeover of media would have us believe that people have swung right.
