Eurosky.social is launching building blocks for a trusted European platform in November 2025 and is already attracting huge interest.

I want to love Mastodon but the lack of any algorithm means that I don't. I refuse to go to another walled garden, so maybe this is good?

Different societies consider it an important part of one's identify.

Some countries have religion on the passport.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Maybe evangelicals who preach the prosperity gospel believe in "just world"? However in the Book of Job it is made pretty clear that doing everything God asks of you doesn't help you at all, and might even be a reason that you get shit on. Jesus repeatedly says that his kingdom is not on earth. Anyway...

Military secrets are useful in battle. WW2 has endless examples of this, and you can read advice about it in The Art of War.

Secrets are terrible for a democracy, though. I guess the USA is done with democracy, so the tension between secrets and transparency is now gone....

I mean, there wasn't a Jewish state for hundreds of years before Islam was founded, so I don't think it is really comparable.

Jews were alternately accepted or oppressed (up to and including torture and what we now call genocide) basically forever, basically everywhere. But the idea that Jews and Muslims have been at each other's throats for thousands of years is not really true, IMHO.

That actually makes a certain amount of sense. We don't want people to have incentive to work into their retirement... if enough people do that then things will adjust and you will basically have to work until you die.

The Israeli/Palestinean issue isn't even 100 years old, although your point is still valid!

Does having a pension forbid you from working? 🤔

One thiest view of morality is that it is arbitrary, so literally anything that God does is good because that is what goodness is.

What an amazing song, thanks!

I mean, we call the software that runs computer players in games AI, so.... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not that worried about that. The earth has been a lot hotter in the past, and will again in the future.
