I am a dad and a music lover. Profanity aside, I will walk out of any room where anyone is playing the worst music I've ever heard. I don't care what the 'artist' intends, but if I hear dog shit, I avoid as if it was tear gas. Kid Rock is unlistenable. Always has been, always will be. I detest the platform he's been given and that we still have to utter his wretched name.

We have to remember that these podcasts are just two people in a conversation. It's not a well-researched news piece. People in a conversation get stuff wrong all the time. They misrepresent themselves, they get facts wrong, they tell half truths, etc. I'm not letting anyone off the hook, we just have to remember that this entertainment just sounds like a long format 60 Minutes interview.
The problem is the hungry 24-hour news cycle picks up whatever these public figures say on these shows and elevates it to newsworthy. Theo is complicit by giving the wrong people a platform to shotgun their half truths and wrong facts out into the news cycle. If you're not going to push on a political topic, don't bring it up. Don't give your wrong-hearted guest a chance. Stick with what you know and are ready to have a conversation about. It makes for a much better podcast.
