Does your instance have a bio? Maybe you could use that? On my instance, the character limit for the bio is 300 chars, that should probably be plenty :o

edit: Another option might be to get a hexbear account? I know they're pretty good with the built-in pronoun selection, but they are defederated from many places so that might affect your user experience

Doesn't it kinda depend on what the doctor writes on the prescription? I've had both doctors who just put the brand name on there but also doctors who insist on writing down the generic version.
Either way, I don't really see any point in arguing with them about whichever one they prefer? The medicines generally do work the same.

Whoa, I would love that! Why is it bad taste?

I'm still the only one posting to !royalpython@lemmy.world but I don't mind haha

On an individual level? No idea, I have no experience with that lol

On a systemic level? The problem seems to be that people assume dating apps are only for hookups, so people who are looking for something serious avoid them. So the idea becomes true through self-validation. Breaking that cycle somehow would make everyone involved happier I think?

It might be a regional thing? I live in a Town known for its Technical University, so most of the people on Tinder are socially awkward and tech literate 18-25 y/os who either don't like going to noisy places like bars, clubs etc. or just prefer texting first before committing time to a date (free time is kind of hard to make as a student here).

My own reason was more on the autistic side, as I do NOT recognize flirting unless it is specifically stated. So having an app where both parties can state "hey, we're talking with romantic intentions here!!" was the best solution ever haha (I met my husband within 30mins of installing the app 🤷)

I'm not very knowledgeable on Inverters, they don't come up much in the legal material I juggle around at work lol

Balcony Units have them built in as far as I know. The only big regulation when it comes to wiring is that anyone who has solar needs their Electricity Counter replaced with a bidirectional "Smart Meter", because classical Counters can't really count down when you feed into the Grid. I'm guessing that the Smart Meters themselves would have some sort of safety mechanism to prevent wildly miswired connections.

I think there was some sort of requirement to at least have an electrician check the solar setup before it gets connected too, but German law in most parts is "If you decide not to hire a licensed professional, then anything that happens is your own fault".

Very cool in theory, hard to do without stumbling into Eugenics 😬

Solar panels that cannot be connected to the grid don't have to be declared, but it is based on ability, not intention. So a solar panel so far away from civilization that you physically couldn't connect it is fine, but if it's at your house and you could connect it, then you have to register it. (Registration is a 5min online form though, it's very hassle-free for a system that the German Government came up with lol)
