Thought it would be annoying to completely change names but i also dont like the feminine versions of my name, so i just made one up.
No one can spell it proper, but i love my new name

Love Misterio77's configs. Both this and his main config! I'll take a look at yours!

My hardware.nix uses disko, which is probably why its different. The pateC config isnt used anymore and im currently adding my other new machine, but im needing to rewrite some code, so the laptape hardware.nix is probably the better example.
Basically my actual formatting is in /disks/*

I have a folder with some cool nixos configurations that i ripgrep through when im looking for inspiration on how to do things.
Anyone got recommendations for configs where people do cool stuff? Feel free to drop your configs as well, its just fun to look at other people's systems!

PS: I know this is generic, but i think im looking for answers of all kinds so that works

Afaik the only thing that kills them is freezing. Idk why the lifestraw needs to stay submerged, afaik they use similar technology. My katadyn befree that i got this season can also be dried just fine

Before storing mine for the winter i backwash, sanitize with bleach (very dilute solution, passed through the filter both ways), then i shake it a bunch to get water out and let it dry out for a few days (might be too much but its hard to get dry).

Idk if thats the "proper" way but its been 7 years and the filter is still going strong

imo flakes are as hard to get into as the 'normal way' if youre starting from scratch. Switching over is easier, you'll need to change quite a bit, but its a lot of boilerplate mostly. All in all I agree with the first comment tho, its worth it.

Other than that, looks good if its all working for you!
