I've always wanted to drum. I've been finally learning and I can now play along with several of my favorite songs and it makes me so happy
This bit of poetry from Andrea Gibson (they):
I explain my gender by saying I am happiest on the road when I'm not here or there, but in between, that yellow line coming down the center of it all like a goddamn sunbeam.
Attachment theory is well researched and developed. And if I understand it correctly, not having your mom around after 3 months is likely to be a significant trauma which could absolutely account for current "issues"
Source: am discovering some very early trauma of my own and working through all that means for me
