The crux of the issue is not as many people will do this so app devs will be less inclined to release the good OSS

Buy a pocketbook and don't log into any accounts. Fuck em. I keep mine airgapped.

Yup. I use the PWA so I don't even need to install it. Wish this was more widespread.

That's the kind of thing that worries me about custom OS.

GrapheneOS dude seems unhinged which puts me off, calyx just taking a big break...

That doesn't ring true when I read the voltage of my phone and compare it to the cell specs.

I'm more than ready to jump ship to another OS aslong as it gets timely updates. I really like the FF6 but the update history has been pretty poor.

Yup. The Pixel 9 to 10 is pretty minor unless you have a specific reason (then you'd be better served elsewhere).

But moving from 4year+ (which you shouldn't upgrade regularly anyways) old phone - this is a nice upgrade

Whats the reason?

I just hate that 100-0% is a cycle regardless of the actual usage. 100-0% is more damaging to the battery than 80-30% twice.

I've turned it off on my P9ProXL just for that reason, i'm treating my battery well and will just swap it out if it's shagged.

The early mobile phone apps conditioned people to expect things free.

I donate to any project, open or closed source if it's worth it.

Yup. I did something similar at uni. Also the nearest professional body branch might have regular talks/visits to local factories/power stations.

I'm an android guy and my partner is iPhone, she isn't very tech literate and has an old iPad.

I don't want to connect the older iPad to my network but I'd like to get some MP4 videos on it of learning and Nursary rhymes for my daughter when on a car journey.

I've plugged it in but I can't seem to drag and drop. I use Linux so not sure iTunes is an option, thank you.

Are there any tricks?

The local farmers market had some frozen dough. Thought why not! Not used the oven in ages. It cooked so well! Did 5 pizza like this for the family with different toppings.
