Text-based roleplay? There are forum sites for that. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're a fast writer and can deal with a lot of vanilla expectations. It's mostly cis women on those forums, some of them have an unhealthy obsession with violence, and few to none are into the kind of kink one expects in less "safe" spaces.
I'm stuck in this mess too but there are more appropriate boards for discussing it. I recommend having these discussions on a board that is interest or identity-based. This board is for meta-discussion of the site and finding related resources.
