This animation is so distracting, the hair, the constipated looks on the characters faces, the weird camera angles... how is this studio still around? How have I been able to avoid their content for so long? This is my first time watching their work.

Look, Blink, The empty child, Partners in crime and a bunch others are some of my favorites. But the proper entry point should be The eleventh hour.
I don’t think any other episodes explains The Doctor better than this. Is not the best episode but by the end you get a sense of who The Doctor is.
As an anime only watcher thank you for this. This last few episodes I’ve been a bit lost in terms of the story and the point in a lot of this ceremonies and such.
