Nowadays gentoo already offers binary packages natively, if the user wants them ( https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Gentoo_Binary_Host_Quickstart ). Default is sill to compile locally. But for large packages like libreoffice or browsers the binary packages are nice.

But i can see the benefit for new users in getting sth pre configured. For this to be long term usefull though, the documentation is crucial. Maybe just offering the guide to this specific install or how it differs from the standard install manual, like sakakis install guide (sadly defunct).

Buffer the input in a battery then use dc out from the battery to power your lights, no flickering. No need to reconfigure the entire grid and every device on it for niche applications.

This is what i was told once upon a time. But upon actual research it sadly appears not. At least the newspaper is not on the list of properties of the asahi holdings that owns the beer company. (for some reason i am not able to paste the link onypjone)

even more amazing that the news vorp belongs to the beermaker of the same name

Efit: This actually doesnt appear to be true :(

okular supports signing. But you have to set up your signing certificate outside it and then point it at the certificate database in the backend settings. Creating a signing certificate in adobe, saving that to a file, registering that file with nsdb, setting nsdb as backend in okular, works. Only have to do the setup obcr, then just works.

Suicide does not make life better.

A ground that is insulated from the ground is not a ground. So yes you will have to extend the ground cable to where the metal pipe goes into the ground.

its not as bad as it sounds. But it is the other side of the coin of academic freedom. You can do what you want, but that just means i end up wanting to do everything and then of course failing to finish evreything. But i have learned the solution is to find collaborators, and to accept that some things will simply not get done. The only problem is that the things that do not get done are sometimes important, even if they are not the most interesting (such as filing travel reimbursement forms). TL:DR no worries but do think carefully before going for a phd, there is very little external structure
