You can just open an apk file with this tool; apps don't need to be integrated with it. It's just that the implementation is far from complete and most apps will not work (correctly) right now.

You might be interested in chaotic-aur. It's a repo you can add that has a subset of pre-built aur packages that you can install like normal.

You could also try the experimental GNOME Mobile or phosh, but those seem mostly aimed at phones instead of tablets.
