Well, I originally saw both Blair Witch and H20 played from really dark and messy VHS copies of theater recordings.... And man, let me tell ya, they were both way better as low quality cams that HD movies!

I intentionally watch bad Horror as cams now, when I can, even decades later... It really adds to the experience!

Does this mean epubs won't stop and require a new page to load at the end of chapters / new file segments?

It's one of my biggest gripes switching from mobi single file ebooks to epub multi-file ebooks.

Should just append the next file and allow the flow to continue.

Been waiting for such a change for epub reading apps for many years.

Update: OMG yes, it works! (Not by default, scroll mode must be opted-in first via 3-dot menu)

Now I can maintain the same scroll while reading habits I do for online content, PDFs, and Mobi files while reading ePubs! Bout damn time!

This is now my default ebook reader everywhere!

Meh.

I'm not saying don't watch it. But it's so much drama and family junk, I get bored pretty fast. Oh hey, a monster, that looks cool. Somebody unimportant dies. Ok, back to the drama.

I won't be rewatching it.

It's like the Matrix, but funny.

10/10 100% recommend to anyone who likes oddball movies like Moon or Mr. Right, two other Sam Rockwell features.

It will probably go down as my favorite movie of the year. I'm not aware of anything else coming out that will be able to top it. It's a weird, kookie, action packed and fun sci-fi adventure.

I imagine that the Matrix would have been a lot like this movie, if it was funny.

10/10.... I passed over some bad reviews, but ignored them. Sam tends to do some pretty fun and kookie flicks, especially sci-fi, which is totally my bag.

This movie was a really fun ride!

I like the idea of a system add-on that randomizes all user age responses with a different date that equals like 25-99years old (assuming 25 years meets the highest age for the applicable standards).

Not too dissimilar from a random MAC address generating feature.

They aren't a public service, their goal is maximizing profits, the devices they manufacturer and the customer base they farm are just tools to that end.

Fairphone, on the other hand, is a Benefit corp, if I remember correctly.

While I oppose ICE, this is stupid.

The person chose to put themselves in front of a vehicle in motion which appeared to be moving to ensure it's occupants could escape an area where a clear threat to them was present. I don't care if the occupants were teens, drunk uncles, my grandma, or ICE. Fuck that idiot for getting on the hood or moving intentionally in front of that vehicle!

The vehicle occupants don't appear to have targeted anyone, so they get a pass. At least from what is shown in the video.

It's possible they had other exit opportunities that didn't put the peds in harms way, and chose to drive through them on purpose, and lf so that changes things, but that's not shown in the video.

Sounds like their plot was not very serious. And joking about killing people is totally legal in most places. I would however understand a temporary suspension or even an arrest during an investigation. And I'd approve of politely discouraging joking about such things as a social rule, as it's unkind. But here, it doesn't appear criminal charges for making any serious threat or plans are likely to be found valid.

....

Well, upon further research it seems the one girl it likely in need of serious mental health help. She seems off her rocker, and may have actually just hurt people for kicks if not stopped in advance. The other girl seems likely to not understand the seriousness of the danger the crazy girl presents. Crazy people often seduce other people into their crazy worlds and plots.

But, despite these new considerations, criminal charges and jail/prison won't solve the issues either of these kids have. And our society will literally continue paying a very high price to persecute and imprison them instead of actually solving the problems that got them where they are.

So, fuck us I suppose.

We built this.

This is what we get.

Well, if that isn't just the cutest Klingon ratfink crossover I didn't know I needed today.
