There are almost certainly bad actors (paid trolls) infiltrating leftist spaces, both as extremists and "concerned centrists" attempting to divide, confuse, and disrupt any communities that are developing. I believe one of the big goals is to encourage violence and extremism. They had a lot of success with this among young men and teens, pushing fascist ideology.
