I don't like jump scares, even in horror movies. I feel like they use jump scares and excessive gore as cheat codes when they can't write a decent plot.

Edit: Not that excessive gore bothers me, and it can be cool at times, but it needs to be backed up by a decent story or its pointless to me.

Upvote because that truly is an unpopular opinion from what I’ve seen and I think they make the Pontiac Aztec look classy.

Looks like a surly old sea captain surveying a storm.

I'm always interested in learning stuff and your short but detailed explanation rocks! Thanks and keep up the good work.

I assume it has a lot to do with efficiency, and correct me if I am wrong, but I think it goes Diesel -> Generator -> Traction Motors

I actually need some kind of unobtrusive noise. I usually pick some ambient scene off YouTube that has a fireplace and rain or rain with thunder.

I think you just described me exactly. I constantly replay a few specific games but very little grabs my attention like the few I love.

You can change this in Settings > Camera > Formats > choose Most Compatible to change from HEIF/HEVC to JPEG/H.264

EDIT: I use XnViewMP to browse photos and it can convert HEIC to JPG and HandBrake can handle HEVC to MP4 or MKV.

In most laptops you can remove the WiFi/Bluetooth card if you are ok with a permanent solution.
