That's what I was thinking, either casing the place (but it is a secure apartment building) or will pressure for cash. I'm big and ugly enough to feel secure with a stranger, but you're right, I'll give the UK number a ring when they open this evening.

Sorry if this isn't the appropriate community for this question, but has anyone received an offer like this before?

We requested a quote to vinyl wrap two bathroom cabinets and the attached was the business' response. I've checked and the UK company exists, just seems a little too good to be true.

No worries, good luck with the hunt!

Personally, for a $20 turntable I don't think it is worth spending $100 on a headshell that you'll then need to source a cartridge for, unless you've got one of the funky red ones or some sentimental reasons for keeping it. I'd be looking for another deck.

In any case, check the pins in your tonearm against this one

They also have an aftermarket option which is even cheaper on their site.

A recent trift store pick, still had the colour book and hardcase with it. The LPs are pretty grubby and didn't sound as great as they could have, I'll give them a wash when I get a minute.

Interesting small format table, I've not seen one before but it looks like it was included as part of a minisystem. From what I can gather it has a straight tonearm, so the headshell that you've pictured will not work, even if you could find one without the bayonet fitting. Most straight arms will use an angled headshell, and these are often manufacturer specific, so you'll need to look for a second hand Yamaha headshell, unfortunately.

Here's one I found, although I'm not sure that spending that much on a late 80s deck that you haven't been able to listen to is a good idea.

Denisovans, Xiahe and Penghu are the only three in that lot that have any genetic link between them, with the tooth from Vietnam being "morphologically similar" to the Denisovans tooth fragment and the two skull caps being guesses based on their robusticity. More testing is needed to group these all together in to a new species, especially so with H. longii, but the researchers with access to the dragon man specimen so far are refusing.

The Cayman GT4 in GT7 is just sublime. Pointy, but with great mid-corner stability.

I used Khan Academy when I reentered uni as a mature-age student and found it very helpful

I'm not a fan of ATHF and The Mouse and the Mask is still in my top 5 of all time. Production and lyricism are on another level.

Oh man, speaking of Kweli, his Black Star album with Mos Def needs a mention
