Are you sure it is would? In the sentence you are referring to the AI understanding culture from language which is future tense.

Also he doesn't get paid if you pirate them. So feel free to pirate them.

H. P. Lovecraft was very racist and you can even see his racism in his books, and people still read his books. You need to disconnect the author with the books, although Lovecraft was racist and not a monster like this guy. I even heard he tried to change before he died.

You said that with training data it will be able to understand. I mean that even with training data it will take years and it also has other problems like hallucinations. I admit, I didn't word it correctly.

The will not last as long as the pyramids, stone is a very good building material, metals which we use is very reactive and won't last long without maintenance. If humans went extinct the first thing to go will be the metal buildings, the pyramids will last way longer.

I highly doubt that it will be as good as human translation anytime soon, maybe around 10 years or so. Also they have profanity filters and they also hallucinate a lot. https://www.businessinsider.com/ai-peak-data-google-deepmind-researchers-solution-test-time-compute-2025-1

There are some good subreddits like educational ones and piracy, the rest I noticed are just reposted memes and fake stories. Anime_titties is good though.

Here is another one: https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1hzozws

Why are people falling for this?

Even if Reddit is way worse now, it is still very useful for specific topics. For example how to make soap, reddit is very useful in that regard. Though it is still funny when a clearly fake story gets alot of attraction https://www.reddit.com/r/AITAH/comments/1hz1y5y.

It is not the lack of training material that is the issue, it doesn't understand context and cultural references. Someone commented here that crunchyroll AI subtitles translated Asura Hall a name to asshole.

From experience AI translation is still garbage, specially for languages like Chinese, Japanese, and Korean , but if it only subtitles in the actual language such creating English subtitles for English then it is probably fine.

I want this for my personal pc, I already have prowlarr installed in my home server. Sometimes I want to download something and not store it in the home server.

Seems some of the mods on /r/usenet went on a power trip and deleted any post they didn't agree with. A new sub Reddit was created called /r/UsenetTalk and people are abandoning the old one. In my opinion it is better to just move to Lemmy.
