Not really on topic, but I recently swapped from Spotify to Qobuz and it's been a pretty good experience if you're interested in paying someone who's not Spotify

I definitely agree but I think that case would still get caught in the steam AI usage badge?

What angle are you approaching it from?

I think LLM detection is gonna be tough, I think a verification route and cutting bots off from the source is going to be ideal but not sure how to tackle that while respecting privacy.

I did have an idea of a app using nearby devices and after flagging 7 unique devices it's tagged as verified, interesting but not sure it'll work in rural areas.

I posted this in another comment but I think the nuance is really in what did they use the AI for. Are they using Claude code for the programming but did the entire artwork by hand? How many really care about that?

Compared to someone who tried to one shot a slop game with full AI assets and is just trying to make a quick buck.

I think the grey area is what if you're an indie dev and did the entire story line and artwork yourself, but have the ai handle more complex coding.

It is to our eyes entirely original but used AI. Where do you draw the line?

What portfolio does passkeys push?

[–] Sl00k@programming.dev 2 points 1 month ago

Lemmy has been very anti passkey at least since it's rise in 2023, it's very interesting how tech forward Lemmy generally is and how anti passkey and not even anti, just generally uninformed on them they are.

I for one love them. I always read everyones opinions here and just think nobody has even attempted to use them. It's very simple.

Haven't been around in awhile, is mbin officially dead or is it still being actively developed just without much use?

Dude why are you being so hostile for no reason ?

Who would've thought ripping out everything that made the game unique and interesting in favor of an easier more casual game would be a bad long term decision for a competitive game 🤣

It's tough because users here naturally use Linux more often which is incompatible with league. I stopped playing this season since I'm on Linux now, but haven't really looked back.

No reason to pin two bad bitches against each other.

He's still doing it 👨‍🍳

Somehow democrats are able to continuously surpass their own worst version of themselves. It's actually incredible.

We are also changing how remote playback works for streaming personal media (that is, playback when not on the same local network as the server). The reality is that we need more resources to continue putting forth the best personal media experience, and as a result, we will no longer offer remote playback as a free feature. This—alongside the new Plex Pass pricing—will help provide those resources. This change will apply to the future release of our new Plex experience for mobile and other platforms.

  • Beijing slaps 15% levy on U.S. LNG, coal; 10% on crude, farm equipment

  • China starts anti-monopoly investigation into Google, imposes controls on rare earth exports

  • China's new tariffs on the targeted U.S. exports will start on Feb. 10

Hey guys! Has anyone had success migrating a Plex server from Windows to Linux in recent years? I'm mostly concerned about losing watch history / users (having to reinvite).

I found this Reddit thread on the issue and it seemed like a simple copy and paste of the DB file. I attempted following both the official directions from their guide and from the Reddit post and ran into a SQLite DB error similar to what another user experienced in the Reddit thread:

soci::soci_error() that sqlite3 prepare failed..Error: Unable to set up server: sqlite3_statement_backend::prepare: file is not a database for SQL: PRAGMA cache_size=512 (N4soci10soci_errorE)

Has anyone done a migration in the recent years? Seems like something might have changed within the last few and this copy and paste of the DB file will not work anymore?
