The religion book we studied at school literally argued that God exists because everything must have a creator.

Like... what? Then who created God?

I wouldn't believe my own comment if I was someone else and hadn't read that book with my own two eyes.

Advertisements... on your fridge. There's a screen, and the fridge connects to the internet, using the connection you pay for to download ADs that it'll display it on the screen.

What part of this makes sense? Who would buy such a thing?!

If you're writing a poem in German, you can apparently switch the positions of the subject, object and indirect object without changing the meaning, since the gender and article of the word indicate whether it's the subject (Nominativ), object (Akkusativ) or indirect object (Dativ). (e.g. subject: der Mann, object: den Mann, indirect object: dem Mann)

I have never seen a person who uses Windows search instead of a browser to search the web, and I doubt anyone actually does. Even the people you mentioned.

Facing Issues With Installing Flatpak Packages... Help? (lemmy.world)

I'm trying to install some flatpak packages, but have been unsuccessful. For example, when I run flatpak install flathub org.libreoffice.LibreOffice it gets stuck on Looking for matches…. I tried running the command with sudo, and it worked after 3 minutes of hanging on Looking for matches…:

It will certainly never install with this speed. I stopped it with Control+C.

I tried to install it from Software Manager (mintinstall), but it presents me with a time out error after some waiting: While pulling runtime/org.freedesktop.Platform.GL.default/x86_64/23.08 from remote flathub: Socket I/O timed out. I'm on Linux Mint 21.3, updated just today. I accidentally installed an older version (installed just a few days ago) and updated two times, didn't work on the older versions either.

Any help would be appreciated.

(BTW, does anyone know why there are two graphic cards in my system info, the second being Intel Corporation Sunrise Point-LP Integrated Sensor Hub? That is certainly not a graphics card.)
