Why would I upvote when my choices to express my satisfaction with a post is intentionally limited?
Having abilities and then them being taken away, and now a "vote" with no options I agree with, feels wrong to me.

I get that but this whole thing is like forcing a safe space for people who put themselves out there and can't tolerate whatever comes with it. They should ignore the downvotes or just disable them themselves
I mean the account is 5 months old.. who cares how many comments and posts they have? Maybe they have the account to vote and mostly just lurk until now?

Lemmy is indeed becoming an OF honeypot. I've been fairly vocal about this myself.
I think it should be a general community rule to not allow posts containing OF spam. If some perv on here is thirsty enough they'll stalk the posters page and see the links on there, no need to include it in the posts.
I just downvote those. Hopefully enough folks agree and do the same. Eventually content creators that do that will realize they're getting more downvotes than upvotes and stop on their own.
You really don't think Linux has viruses? I'm confused by this post. Is it an excuse to shit on wine and windows?
This stuff should be automated and let the back end automation handle this stuff for less technically inclined folks.
