Sure. People don’t use BlueSky because it’s decentralized. They use it because it’s easy, there is a large enough core of users to produce a constant stream of content, and it’s not Twitter/Meta.

I did, once, because the person antagonizing me physically blocked my exit, and I’d rather hurt a wall than a person. But doing it when you can just walk away is…sad. Also, I wouldn’t recommend it, as it hurts like fuck.

I dunno. I was suicidally depressed all day every day for nearly 20 years, and there were people I love who were very consistently supportive. As always, ymmv, but saying it has no basis in reality is false. If the human actions in this post did not exist, I would be dead. Instead, I made it to middle age.

It doesn’t always happen, but there are people that back up feeling the way the post describes with action.

I was responding to the previous comment, not OP. OP was saying conservatives get upset when people won’t sleep with them because they’re conservative. From the text of the comment I responded to, it looks like the person is saying “moderates” just don’t care about anyone but themselves. I’m adding that often the people the actual OP is talking about pretend to be the moderates the previous commenter is discussing.

No. Stupid isn’t something you choose. As an adult, bigotry absolutely is.
