Holy God why are you still following me around lol

Okay, sounds good, I'll make another post, let's see if that helps with my credibility

Having a dog stay in a bed or crate when they’ve been a pain in the ass is actually pretty common and I think you already know that

This is absolutely wrong. One of the most important things about crate training is that you don't use "go to your crate!" as a punishment. It's an emotionally satisfying thing to do if you're having trouble with your anger or something, but it absolutely fucks up the dog's training that you are trying to do (or what you should be trying to do, I'm going under the assumption that you're not a psychopath here).

https://smartdoglearning.com/dog-crate-training-101-how-to-make-the-crate-your-dogs-bff/

I don't really know shit about dog training, but even I know that.

You also shouldn't say "Kaya! Please!" "Go ba--" "Stop!" when what you mean is "Place!" and the dog didn't do a damn wrong. But again, I already know that me saying these things is going to mean nothing to you. Just one of you guys found a new way to piss me off with animal-abuse-apologia, so I wanted to say something about it.

At a time when Democrats are searching for leadership, Mr. Pritzker is trying to seize the moment to demonstrate it — to fuel opposition to Mr. Trump across the nation, and, perhaps, his future presidential ambitions.

Gotta get that in there, NYT, didn't you. I'm sure the article is fine but they just can't completely let go of the leader-cock with one hand, they're just hanging on in case they need it later, keeping in practice every night with their favorite tricks to discredit somebody on command.

I halfway wish some of the fascism would come for these guys directly. It's definitely got them in the sights, they just don't seem to realize it, and maybe if something did happen the survivors would maybe wake the fuck up and start helping.

I realized something interesting: Sometime yesterday, the almost unanimous majority of the pro-Hasan commenters shifted over into accusing people of being fans of some other streamer who I have barely heard of, or of being taken in by random streamer drama. They're all pretty familiar with streamer drama and all of the personalities at work in this weird little space.

That means that more or less every single one of the normies who just happened to run across this clip without being deep into streamer lore, had the same logical horrified reaction to it. The only people defending Hasan (with maybe like 1-2 exceptions, people who watched the clip and decided it didn't look like a big deal to them) are people with some kind of parasocial thing going on, who are assuming that everyone else in the thread obviously has some alternate parasocial thing going on also.

Maybe. Like I said, the overall body language from the dog, and his tone of voice when he talks about her, and also him lying about objectively verifiable things, mean more to me on the topic than a lot of these clips that people are talking about.

(For example, the fact that back then he was saying that shock collars are mean and he doesn't believe in them, and he's bringing that up now as a defense of himself, but then saying simultaneously that shock collars don't even hurt anyway so even if she was wearing one it wouldn't be a big deal. That's... well, you know.)

But anyway, like I say, I have never seen someone's dog who is less happy to interact with them. She just seems defeated. She doesn't lick him, she doesn't perk up when he pays attention to her, she just sits there quietly while he's rubbing her head or whatever, and then slowly obeys his commands to come here or go sit on her bed or whatever, with her head down. I realize that's subjective but that is definitely my take on it.

Ha, thank you. Just the fact that it involves someone being careless and mean to his dog got me pretty riled up about it tbh.

I see that they've now progressed from "Why do you care SO MUCH about and have a parasocial attachment to this streamer, that's weird" and into "Why are you even spending SO MUCH time and energy posting about this topic, how dare you put comments on this internet site, that is unhealthy." I feel like the sudden shift away from actually talking about the subject matter means I'm winning lol.

"I give Kaya the place command as I usually do" He did not do that, he ranted about Israel for a while and then when she dared to step off the platform he said, "Kaya! Please!" Also "Go ba--" and "Stop!"

Like the "she clipped herself" thing, this to me at least is a massive red flag. It's hard to tell what's true, you kind of walk into a situation and you're not sure what to think and it's all conflicting claims. But one of the early things you can pick out is someone who lies about something recent that is instantly verifiable, and does it confidently and sort of automatically. It doesn't mean they're on the wrong side of everything, but it's a massive warning sign, and then if later on they wind up wanting you to take their word for things you know how much weight to give it.

You trying to sell this as “incontrovertible” proof

Pretty sure I never did that, search for "You might disagree with that, and fine"

I have more to say, but not tonight, it is enough for one day good lord. Whenever I get up the gumption to say more I will tag you I guess.

FUCKING EMBARRASSING. DELETE THIS.

No I don't think that I will

have even posted edited clips from 8 years ago making it sound like Hasan admitted to buying a shock collar when he was actually saying the exact opposite, following the same playbook that they have in the past in their attempts to discredit him.

See, this is a pretty good example: I 100% agree with you here, and just told someone so who was trying to use that clip against him. That's my MO. I see something, I try hard to step back and see it for what it is and then decide how to judge the actions accordingly. I don't just kind of buy into whatever crap shows up on my internet that day (or I try not to, although definitely sometimes I get taken, I like to think it is rare.) Same goes if it's Hasan or Bernie Sanders or Kamala Harris or my brother-in-law. There is a time when "loyalty to the cause" needs to factor into it, but that's like a dire circumstance. Like I would never pretend that MLK didn't cheat on his wife or Thomas Jefferson didn't own slaves, or that Biden didn't enable a genocide just because I wanted his team to win the election. I don't think anyone in Palestine is going to be helped by pretending to see things differently than how I see them on this dog issue. Generally speaking I think truth is almost always better.

For one thing, I don't think it helps Hasan for people to be in hero worship mode. Everyone needs to be called out on their bullshit sometimes, because everyone is bullshit at least part of the time. It's part of being human. If people exist for too long in that space where no one's allowed to call them out, they start to go real off the rails and just think that they're God and everyone else is stupid.

Like I say I may have a blinkered picture of the guy, I fully agree with you about certain negative things about him probably getting played up because of his politics. Fair enough. I can make an effort in the future to catch him on some random stream, to get a fair sampling, but IDK how that translates into all this deflection and weirdness about this particular factual matter that is on display all over this comments thread.

Someone asked him on stream what he was reaching for right at the moment that he was super-focused on being exasperated at the dog, and he said something that to me sounded like "my zintins." I'm too boomer to even understand what the fuck word he said, so if anyone knows what that's about or whether it is plausible that he was suddenly motivated to snatch for them right at that moment please I would appreciate a leg up of understanding.

He has admitted to owning a shock collar

I mean, what he said was that his roommate owned a shock collar, and that he was against them. It was a little unclear to me but it didn't exactly sound like he was admitting much of anything in that clip (if the one you have in mind is also the one I'm thinking of).

Twitter is now saying they figured out what collar he has, and that it's the shock version of it that he took the prongs out of and then put black tape on the back of the box, and that's why he was so incredibly hesitant to show it for more than 0.2 seconds or move his hand away from that weird sort of cardshark grip he had the collar in the entire time. I thought about making a separate post with the quick overview video which is all I've seen so far, but I'm honestly mostly done with dealing with this shit at least for tonight and I don't really want to post it and start another kerfuffle until I can look at the details a decent amount myself. Here's that video though (with some irritatingly quick scrolls through a document which lays out some of the details, you'll have to pause to really be able to see anything, but it does make sense if you pause it and look):

https://files.catbox.moe/x0kbh4.mp4

And yes, I agree. The main thing that makes me think he's a POS is his overall tone and emotional affect, and the dog's reactions to him. If she just yelped on stream right after he reached for something, but then his overall way of interacting with her was normal and caring instead of exactly the opposite of that, then I probably wouldn't think twice about it.

Didn't you just post a bunch of pure bullying videos about Ethan Kline?

I tried to watch Ethan Kline today for the first time, and it was too much bullshit for me to even want to be a part of for more than a few minutes. The man looks like a sickly Victorian orphan. A video about Ethan Kline and what a big poopy head he is, is not something I would ever consider watching let along posting. I tried to watch your video and all I can say is, I don't think you should be giving advice to anyone along this particular axis.

I care about what is true and often I want to dig to the bottom of it.

You could say it's not a good way to be, and depending on the triviality of the subject matter you might be right. But I definitely don't think it's the worst thing in the world to have that mindset.

Also, just because everyone talked to me about Ethan Klein and he showed up in my YouTube anyway, I am now watching him for the first time, talking about this controversy.

Edit: WHAT THE FUCK HAVE I DONE now half my YouTube recommendations is streamer bullshit

Israeli airstrikes target the the Al-Rouya residential tower in Gaza City on September 7, 2025. (Screen shot of video by Abdel Qader Sabbah.)

GAZA CITY—The Israeli military is waging an all-out, aerial assault concentrated on Gaza City, targeting dozens of high-rise towers in the heart of the city and reducing them to rubble. The destruction of residential buildings and tent encampments nearby is part of its stated operation to ethnically cleanse the entire area of the nearly one million Palestinians sheltering there and force them south.

“I promised you a few days ago that we would destroy Gaza’s terror towers. This is exactly what we are doing,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video statement from the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv on Monday. “In the past two days, 50 of these towers have fallen. The air force brought them down. Now all of this is just an introduction, just a prelude, to the main intense operation—a ground maneuver of our forces, who are now organizing and gathering in Gaza City,” he said, adding, “And so I say to the residents of Gaza, I am taking advantage of this opportunity, and listen to me carefully: You have been warned. Get out of there!”

On Sunday, Israeli airstrikes destroyed the Al-Rouya residential tower in Tel al-Hawa, a neighborhood in southwest Gaza City. The massive blast toppled the high-rise building, sending massive plumes of smoke and ash into the air. Residents say they were barely given any warning to flee the area before the strike.

“They threatened to target the tower about an hour ago, and then told us to evacuate. We didn’t have time to take anything,” Hayam Saad, who was living with her husband, children and other relatives in a tent encampment next to the Al-Rouya building, said as she she stood in the rubble alongside destroyed tents and shredded belongings. “I left my things as they were and ran away, with small children in tow.” Saad and her family were displaced from the eastern Gaza City neighborhood of Shujaiyya three months ago after an Israeli airstrike on their apartment that killed Saad’s daughter-in-law. “There was blood everywhere in the apartment. We couldn’t find a leg, a head, or anything. We then left the area,” she said.

“There’s nothing, as you can see. Where are we supposed to go now? Who’s going to give us tents? Who’s going to house us? We don’t know where to go,” she said. Her husband, Ahed Al-Abed Saad, said they lost their meager belongings in the attack. “We’ve come here and found nothing. No clothes, no food, no water, not even tents,” he told Drop Site. “All of this is to force people to scatter to the south. Right now, we have nothing, we’re going to sleep on the rubble.”

Hundreds of other displaced families were sifting through the debris to try and salvage what little they could. “They didn’t give us enough time to remove the necessary items from the tents for the displaced or from inside the tower itself for some of the displaced people,” Mahmoud Naim, a 33-year-old from Beit Hanoun, told Drop Site as he stood amid the rubble of the Al-Rouya building on Sunday. “The tower was bombed in less than an hour, and the area was completely destroyed. The tents of the displaced were also destroyed. These tents housed hundreds of displaced people from various areas—from the north, from central Gaza, from Gaza City, from Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahiya, Jabalia refugee camp, Shujaiyya, Al-Tuffah, Al-Sabra, and all areas of Gaza.”

Israeli leaders have openly bragged about destroying Gaza City as part of a campaign to force out all of the Palestinians living there, as they have in other cities like Beit Hanoun, Rafah, and elsewhere.

The Israeli military first announced the intentional targeting of multiple high rises as part of its assault on Gaza City on Friday, claiming without offering any evidence that they were being used by Hamas fighters. The Israeli military only circulated a video showing the Mushtaha Tower, a 16-story building in a densely crowded western area of the city, with a graphic rendering of a supposed camera on the top of the building as “proof.” In the following days, they destroyed at least 50 buildings.

On Monday, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz posted on X: “A mighty hurricane will hit the skies of Gaza City today, and the roofs of the terror towers will shake. This is a final warning to the murderers and rapists of Hamas in Gaza and in the luxury hotels abroad: Release the hostages and lay down your weapons - or Gaza will be destroyed, and you will be annihilated.”

The Israeli targeting of the Mushtaha Tower on Friday also destroyed a mass tent encampment next to the building, where hundreds of displaced Palestinians had fled from neighborhoods in the northern and eastern parts of the city as the Israeli military invaded.

Um Samir al-Ajlouni, who was displaced from the Zaytoun neighborhood, was sitting in front of her tent near the Mushtaha Tower on Friday when everyone around began shouting that the Israelis were about to bomb the building. Less than half an hour later, the massive structure was reduced to rubble. “When I returned to my tent, I found nothing. The tent was leveled to the ground, and our family’s belongings were scattered and lost. Even the bread I was preparing for my children, I couldn’t find,” al-Ajlouni told Drop Site. She said she thought of trying to go south in a desperate attempt to seek shelter but she couldn’t afford it. “I don’t have any money to pay for transport, and my tent was completely destroyed, so I no longer have any shelter,” she said. “We will have to walk on foot for a long distance… we have no other option. The tent we used to live in cost 200 shekels ($60), and today its price has risen to 4,000 shekels ($1,200), an amount most families cannot afford.”

Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal confirmed the offensive on Gaza City that began last month is the most violent attack on the city since Israel broke the ceasefire on March 18 and resumed its genocidal scorched earth campaign.

“Over the past two days alone, at least 50 residential buildings have been completely destroyed and 100 others were partially damaged that were housing thousands of displaced people,” Bassal told Drop Site. “The strikes also targeted mosques and playgrounds and led to the destruction of more than 200 tents belonging to displaced people living near the targeted buildings.” Bassal added that Civil Defense teams are trying to respond to multiple distress calls reporting people trapped under the rubble. “In not all cases do residents have a chance to escape. Most of the strikes that targeted buildings were carried out without evacuation warnings, causing the martyrdom of the residents.”

Among dozens of Palestinians killed on Monday was Osama Balousha, a photojournalist who was killed in an Israeli airstrike that targeted his home in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhoods of Gaza City, bringing the number of journalists killed to nearly 250, according to Gaza’s government media office.

In addition to housing hundreds of families, many of Gaza’s high-rise buildings were home to businesses and recreational centers. “This tower is not just a building, as you can see, it’s not just floors stacked on top of each other. These are memories. The tower is the days we have lived. I used to train and spend my days at the gym here,” Maher Haboush, a fitness coach who used to train at Oxygen Club, a well-known gym inside the Al-Rouya building, told Drop Site as he stood amid the rubble on Sunday. “There are no friends left, no money left, and nothing to remember. Even the memories, they are taking them away from us.”
