Vergleicht man die Strandung eines Wales vor 100 oder 200 Jahren, hätte wahrscheinlich das Bewusstsein im Umgang mit Tieren gefehlt (Artgerechtigkeit, Lebewesen, die fühlen, Tiere als Individuen), das Wissen, wie dem Wal geholfen werden kann, die finanziellen Mittel und die technischen Möglichkeiten einer Bergung, samt Transport.

Im Zeitalter des Internet ist die Reichweite von Informationen enorm. Dadurch haben sich schnell finanzielle und tatkräftige Unterstützer gefunden und Supporter von weit weg brauchten nicht mehrere Tage, um dem Ort der Strandung nahe zu kommen. Der gestrandete Wal und die Helfer waren medienwirksam. Nach seiner Entlassung in die Nordsee ist er nun auf sich alleine gestellt, "aus den Augen, aus dem Sinn". Ein paar Fragen bleiben offen: Sind Organe irreversibel geschädigt? Neigt die Haut zu nachträglichem Parasitenbefall? Wird ihm infolge dessen, Lebensqualität entzogen? Kann er wieder so viel Nahrung jagen, dass er kalorisch zunimmt? Sind Netze in seinem Körper und in einem solchen Ausmaß, dass ihm die Nahrungsaufnahme erschwert wird? Wird sich letzten Endes seine verbleibende Lebenszeit, der eines Buckelwals ohne einer solchen Lebensgeschichte annähern?

Die gewonnenen Erfahrungen können künftig gestrandeten Walen helfen. Was mir medial aufgefallen ist waren Unstimmigkeiten, Differenzen oder gar Streitereien zwischen Gruppen. Die Kritikpunkte entfielen auf Zuständigkeiten, Verantwortungen, Machtbefugnisse, Kompetenzen und vielleicht sogar Profilierungen oder kurz heruntergebrochen auf das: Wer hatte das Sagen? Im Nachhinein wurde kritisiert, Handlung A hätte nicht geholfen, wäre nachteilig gewesen, Handlung B hätte hingegen Positives bewirkt.

These combinations are rare. I have not mentioned aesthetics. The more short-term relationships I have experienced, the harder it becomes to form new ones.

I suppose the amount of oil is too small to have a significant impact on supply and prices. A large share of the GDP of OPEC countries is based on oil, such as primary extraction and shipping. Oil varies in type and quality. Crude oil needs to be refined, for example to remove impurities like other elements.

Maybe you can highlight similarities between these animals. You could mention the shared evolutionary history of vertebrates or mammals - for example, having a cranium with nerves, bilateral symmetry and the ability to perceive touch and other senses. In mammals in particular, hair is a modification of fur, similar social behavior, emotions, learning, play and a higher investment in offspring. Humans are not that different in some ways, common basics. Seeing it from this perspective may reduce the fear of getting closer to animals.

If someone identifies flaws or associations that have not yet been considered, to expand the perspective - especially if it’s phrased as a question, even a rhetorical one.
