Thanks.

The second part is finally a very good example for a reply that is not gatekeeping but actually helpful.
Would perhaps be a good idea to have that exact paragraph be put at the top of the community description.

And regarding the first part:
If stumbling across a post linking to inaccessible content in any community:
Instant reaction will always be leaving a "Paywalled" or similar comment.
That's just basic netiquette to inform other users and give the OP a hint that he might want to do something about it.

subject the community is dedicated to

Following the title of the community and its description, I (and apparently other people as well) got the distinct impression this subject to be "alternative urban mobility".

I now understand that it is a fan-community for some bike-influencer instead?
This came as somewhat of a surprise, as there are no obvious indications for it.

And, btw, the gatekeeping didn't help.

I think that this is one of the very few instances, in which this sentence is not clickbait.

Just read the linked article to the end.
The actual worrying part is imo not the blocking in itself, but the lack of transparency.
Opens the door to misuse that might infringe freedom of expression.

I am actually not completely averse to that.

German content laws are very strict, just downloading pirated content can result in large fines (4-digit €-values).

So forcing people to use VPNs will actively increase downloaders' safety in the long run.

Well, I tried my best. Read the community info and all.

It contains strict policies against spamming and also low-effort posts.

And a post only consisting of just a link to a paid website would be considered both, meaning low-effort spam, by most people.
So please excuse my confusion. I think it should be understandable.

Understood.

Please just make that clearer in the description next time to perhaps spare people, who don't know these facts and have never head about Jason or Nebula before, unnecessary clicks.

Oh, you are right...
Sorry, handwriting recognition sometimes has its own mind.
And this error must have slipt my prove reading as it is just too well camouflaged...

Paywalled...

But you can. Just buy yourself a Burger King first. American kind of freedom...

Coincidently I watched the X-Files episode a few weeks back.
I loved it!
It is one of their more dark comedy ones with some philosophical topics.
No "true wish" at the end, as far I remember, but a nice twist and imo quite satisfying ending.

Whatever it is that happens, it would be pretty violent.
"What If" had a slightly different, more localized but more concentrated premise it covered once:
Electron Moon
