Exactly. As I stated in another comment already, most of the statements feel like generic Fortune-Cookie-style wisdom packed into edgy language.
Multiplexer
To stay with the Chinese restaurant trope:
Many of his statements seem to me to be generic Fortune Cookie level wisdom.
Generally not wrong, but also of limited specific reference to Germany.
Some are true but generally known. We would like to find a solutions ourselves to them. e.g. the excessive and often uncompromising bureaucracy.
And some statements are so ambiguous that they are ready to be used by the very enemies of democracy and freedom for their own purposes.
Right out of the AfD style book.
Since I don’t speak the language, I can only imagine that the young people coming to Berlin would talk about [...]
Pretty brave presenting a list of pretty harsh statements without explanations about the German state and its people when not even understanding what they are actually talking...
Not really surprised that Zeit stepped back from publishing the article.
First: Some UK teachers exchanged the analogue with digital clocks. This was only to reduce interruptions by some students (during a specific kind of UK exams), who had trouble determining the remaining time in the heat of the exam battle.
Secondly: The use of analogue clocks is taught at UK schools. What's missing is the practice that former generations of pupils had. No more wristwatches, public clocks all but gone, and (what I am nostalgically missing from my youth) no more peeking onto parked car's dashboards to read the analogue clock there. Times have changed, and this specific partially lost ability is not the schools' fault. (Not to say that other things aren't...)
Can we please bury that stupid old meme, as it has been based on some inaccurate buzz and largely giving a completely inaccurate impression of the topic from the start...
So, that sounds not bad, worth a try, if you find a way to do it.
Regarding "priority" stickers/prints:
Found a German Youtube channel that did some tests, sending letters with and without sticker to half a dozen destinations.
Took the same time for both variants to each destination (in one case the priority-stickered one even took a day longer...).
So, doesn't seem to generally hurt, but probably not necessary.
Ok, now it's to late to start something anyhow.
Starting fresh in the morning, plenty of time!
Hat jemand zufällig ein paar Beispiele für Anfragen, die gestellt wurden?
Totally fine snek breakfast!
(I will do some cooking myself, regardless...)
If the the passenger seat was also removed (or replaced by an additional beer-storage-device):
Totally fine modification.
Funny that you used that specific quote, as this was the exact one I was specifically thinking about when writing my statement.
Postulation of non-existant "Denkverbote" is a prime AfD narrative.
