They almost unanimously voted to release the files. Unanimous votes in the House are not frequent. On this issue at least, he doesn't have any loyalists in Congress.

Don't be a dumbass and pay attention to the news. They flipped because they could no longer stop it with Grijalva finally seated. Trump begged Boebert to vote against and she didn't. All part of the plan?

There's nothing Trump can do. His veto would be overridden. He either does nothing and in 10 days it goes through or he acts like he never cared in the first place, no matter how ridiculous that is.

That'll be tough. It's likely worded to prevent the release of classification protecting the names of victims or other people involved who aren't criminally involved, rather than all of it.

After these votes the pressure is on him in a way he has yet experienced. I don't know if I can think of another issue in which almost all Republican legislators opposed him.

there’s zero chance Chuck Schumer wants anything else getting released

His voting says otherwise. What utter bullshit. You can literally say anything about him and then just demand people accept as true. Sound familiar?

My god, how many Obama staffers was Epstein buddies with?

Why the fuck would Republicans want to hold that back?

Yeah but he was lying about that completely, there was no "audit". He didn't want people to know how much of a tax cheat he is. Now he has the power (he shouldn't but sadly does) to start an actual DOJ investigation. We'll see.

I thought the same but amazingly the Senate passed it easily. Trump says he'll sign it. We'll see.

That's because it says more than just that.

but grooming underage girls is where we all collectively draw the line.

No doubt all the other things you mentioned would make any rational, remotely ethical person turn against Trump. But this is worse than all of them. It's almost impossible to defend or wish away. Virtually EVERYONE agrees these crimes are heinous and deserve thorough prosecution.

he will be dead long before he ever sees justice for it.

As much as I would like to see that, the ship sailed when we reelected him. If Harris had won, his other trials would've continued. He was obviously guilty in the documents case. Now he'll probably die in office or shortly after leaving.

At this point, I'll settle for him resigning (impossible, I know) or being impeached.

Once they knew they couldn't delay it any longer, the flipped real quick. It either means they're confident Trump's name has been removed or they're getting out ahead of the inevitable fallout so they can pretend like they cared the whole time.

I believe there's another source of documents. Comparisons could be telling.

The House AND the Senate passed it already? Damn wasn't expecting that.

Vaping Troubles (lemmy.world)

I'm trying to switch to vaping oil. I've started using the UNI Pro 2.0. I can't stop these extended coughing fits. I have it at the lowest voltage. I pre-heat. I take a very short hit. But more often than not, I ended up coughing for 15 minutes.

Was really looking forward to transitioning to vaping but have been extremely disappointed. Is there anything that cane be done about this or should I just back to combustion?
