Nice dude! I just checked out aqua Steve's doom, pretty cool track! Did you use strictly bitwig native plugins? Either way, id love to collab sometime if you're down!

Nice track! Did you play guitar on that one? If so, what's your setup like? How did you program the drums, Did you use samples or were they synthesized? What kind of electronic music do you make?

I was thinking this might be the case unfortunately, but it makes sense. Thanks for the confirmation, I also found a resource to find Lemmy communities from other responses, but thanks for helping me quell my expectations! I'm sure as Lemmy grows, I might find (or even create) those niche instances

Thanks for introducing me to this resource! This is exactly what I was looking for

What VSTs are you using? I run bitwig on arch and it's been awesome so far, all of my VSTs have worked, but that's not to say they will all work. Wine and yabridge do a ton of heavy lifting for the windows based VSTs to work within Linux

Thank you so much for the detailed reply! You've given me a lot of information to begin researching :)

Just curious to gauge how many Lemmy users utilize bitwig as their main DAW? As well, what kind of music genres do you tend to make? Post some of your material if you're down! I'll start:

Mostly do bass music at 88bpm, dnb at 172bpm, and guitar centric music at whatever bpm feels right. Here's twos tracks I have made with Bitwig:

Guitar centric: https://on.soundcloud.com/iJEjY4SwPHkY67Lx7

Bass: https://on.soundcloud.com/NVohHyu96KU9jN8w6

Just curious how everyone operates to find replacements of subreddits! For instance, I'd love to find an MSP lemmy instance, as well as instances related to things like music festivals, fishing, offroading, colorado hiking, and a gang of other topics! I know I can search via keywords, but there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of active Lemmy instances for some of the more niche things I'm into. Any suggestions would be awesome!

This is a positive recommendation :) know that you might succeed, but attempts coming from compassion instead of belittling or impatience. I tend to engage in asking certain questions until they reveal to themselves that they don't support the things they've been tricked into believing
