Most likely so that the vibrations from the speakers does not interfere with the records playback. As the needle should touch the LP as lightly a possible.

I did a year of literature when I didn’t know what to do in my life. I always liked computers so after that I applied to a computer science school. There I had a lot of fun and met a lot of people, some I still have in my life, learned some useful mindsets. Before I managed to get an actual degree I started working. From NOC engineer to software developer where I happily stayed. Did I need my higher education? Probably not, but I think it gave me another perspective and friends and many fun memories.

Astrid Lindgren, her books are translated to 95 different languages and sold over 160 million copies. Probably the worlds most beloved children’s book author.

They're run by engineers that have background in engineering and don't have this knowledge or they just did poorly their due diligence by not taking local e-shops into account. Ask Elon Musk how it was to run the entire Twitter as a company. He had to switch positions from CEO to CTO because of being tired to run both the part that does the site and infrastructure itself and also the part responsible for accounting, marketing, HR and other boring departments.

Wut?

The restore process takes forever and sometimes fails. Last time I was forced to try every daily backup to several days before last backup to find one that could actually be restored. I have switched to borg (using Pika Backup for desktop and Borgmatic for servers). No restores have failed since.
