Does anyone have any advice on how to stop getting shadowbanned? I keep getting shadowbanned for no good reason. Once got banned just for adjusting a setting. (lemmy.world)

A week ago, I just discovered a bunch of Reddit accounts that I created during the pandemic. They have been sitting, content-less and idle, for the past several years. As soon as I log into one and do anything, I get shadowbanned. None of these accounts get any response to the appeals. This all stems from a ban that I got on my very old, very first Reddit account which got banned TEN YEARS AGO. They msged me telling me they will not lift the ban. Am I just SOL? I have to keep paying for something I did TEN years ago? Note that by shadowbanning me, they have no problems greedily taking my data while telling me that I can't fight back.

tbh I just watched West Side Story (1961) and it reaffirmed by belief that rather than mocking the older people as boomers, we ought to cherish our seniors and respect them and hear their stories (lemmy.world)

tbh as a Canadian, I deplore the current US federal administration and basically the entire GOP, but I still admire the US Constitution and those who fight for it (lemmy.world)
 

And for that, my respect for the United States remains strong (at least, my respect for the Spirit of America)

Because I just had this OCD episode right this evening (I am diagnosed with it), which compelled me to log in and log out of this Lemmy.World account consecutively, on my laptop, in very quick succession (I am typing this out from my Android phone); log in, log out the very instant after, long in again, log out the very instant after that, and so on. So I am logged in and OK on my phone, but I am locked out of my account on my laptop, and the red warning sign says "too many requests, try again later".
