That is definitely super cool, but also would still require further custom automations for it to work the same as I have mine set up, and I still have further improvements I want to make to mine. I will definitely be looking into replacing some of my stuff with that though.

And then the all go to a landfill near you

I must assume you're talking about LG and Apple laptops both.

I believe the gram is know to have decent build quality. I'm sure it doesn't compare to an M series Mac when it comes to performance and battery life, but at least I could put Linux on it.

That's strange, I'd think the extra ventilation would help you to be cool.

You use Home Assistant to create many complicated automations to control it automatically, obviously!

These psychopaths had it set to 80 before, so I'd guess that's an accurate evaluation.

Zigbee has been great, as I know it's a local device. Finding WiFi devices that don't phone home is impossible.

I think the logic would be that it's easier to use more data on a computer and while using multiple devices. On my phone I sometimes get full speeds while tethered, and sometimes get half a Mbps.

bye bye to Adobe and moved on with DaVinci Resolve.

This is the way. I skipped Adobe entirely due to how they conduct business. I really wish Resolve had better Linux support though. Like, it works and I use it, but having to use a third party tool (make resolve deb) is ridiculous.

Additionally, Gimp is just not on the level of Photoshop, at least from what I understand, I've never used photoshop. I mostly long for smart select tools where I can, for example, just circle a person and have them selected. Also, content aware fill would be incredibly nice to have. Of course neither of those things are worth shoveling money out of my wallet into Adobe's.

Do any cell phone plans allow for unlimited Hotspot data? That's my largest issue with doing that, I use more than 50GB every single month.

Or, at the very least, a reverse proxy.

Insane that someone would need to say this, but boobs are not the same as balls.

I recently joined Pixelfed and, considering there's no algorithm, hashtags are the only way to be discovered.

I hate hashtag optimizing, but I also don't want to upload my image to someone else's random server before posting it to pixelfed, just to generate hashtags. Where should I look to find something I can host myself, or even something that runs natively on Android/Linux, that'll generate hashtags/keywords for an image?

I am the creator, and wanted to share a recent camping trip I went on with my cat in my late Grandpa's 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale (say that three times fast). If self-promotion isn't allowed, of course feel free to remove, but I do not intend to spam. I just want to get my channel out there where I can, as I feel like there isn't a lot of automotive/camping content on PeerTube.

In the video, Menko the Cat and I drive about 300 miles round trip (well, I'm driving, she's just riding), including a fair amount of gravel roads, to get to a campground that I first visited in January when it was snowed in. We have a camp fire and dinner, but it ends up raining, so we hop into the tent early. The next morning, we search for an old fire lookout, before heading up to a different campground to enjoy the views.

The MCM arch holds the grinder handle in place which keeps it from flopping around, and keeps the grinder in the caddy. It's a really clean and easy solution for this unique problem.

I talk more about the caddy in this video if you're interested - Timestamped Link

On Friday a video will be out where I talk more about the final version (shown in the video attached to this post), but the function is quite similar, just with the correct measurements because measuring is hard...

I would be happy to share the STL, but I haven't yet as I figure not too many folks have the exact same aeropress setup as I do with the scale and grinder, and I'm lazy (but honest at least!)
