From your source: 'Beginning in January 2019, during the Venezuelan presidential crisis, the U.S. applied additional economic sanctions to individuals or companies in the petroleum, gold, mining, and banking industries'

If you check the GDP per capita of Venezuela it was increasing at positive rate immediately after Chavez took power.

Life expectancy was also increasing after Chavez had taken over. https://data.who.int/countries/862

Most Venezuelan refugees cite crime, access to food and healthcare as reasons for leaving. Guess what US sanctions were causing. If you guessed lack of food and supplies for healthcare which caused an increase in crime, you'd be correct.

If socialism doesn't work, why do they spend so many resources making sure it fails?

The majority of Venezuelan refugees cite crime, inflation and lack of food/health security. Those problems are a direct result of US sanctions. The US implemented those sanctions to destabilize the government. It looks like it worked

Liberal is an actual ideology. A hallmark of liberal thought is that business can do things better than government. Leftist thought starts at capitalism is bad, and is much deeper than you think. Democrats of all types are liberal. The kicker is so are the Republicans. It's one reason that Republicans are able to push the Democrats to do anything they want. They don't fundamentally disagree on things.

Nazi war criminals were welcomed into Canada. Jewish refugees into Canada were sent back into Nazi Germany. Nazi war criminals were openly celebrated in parliament. Government has materially supported genocide while saying that it's abhorrent. There's lots of examples. You just need to look

I don't know what the above person was talking about, but Canada has a pretty insane military record. Not necessarily a great record. One made up of insanity. Our government is also just shy of explicitly pro fascist. I think the above person was referring to our military record. Not the invite Nazis to be celebrated inside the government record.

Just because it's meaningless doesn't mean it's fake. It doesn't have any credibility, weight or wider acceptance, but it's real. It's much like Michael Scott's world's best boss mug. Absolutely real, but shallow and meaningless

Europeans are having a hard time being irrelevant

I haven't read the article, but know a little bit. This is a thing only a person that thinks space is magic would think is a good idea. The big reason is heat. More specifically how to get rid of it. Our more realistic and earthbound data centers primarily use electricity to power cooling. How do you get rid of the heat in space? There's nothing to transfer the heat to.

I miss it... I never knew how much I'd appreciate seeing who down voted me. Occasionally I'd think, 'hmmm this guy with opinions I respect didn't like that? Why?' more often I'd think 'hahaha nazi'

Unfortunately, it's not just an Israeli thing. There's lots of Zionists in NA who say things like 'the Palestinians don't even know how to farm'...

What a weird reply. I have no idea what you're trying to get across.
