Ah, detailed descriptions of decades of horrific abuse, just the kind of light-hearted content I come to CasualUK for!

On Tuesday I had a vasectomy. I was allowed to sit up and watch, and it was one of the most incredibly captivating experiences of my life. The surgeon explained everything step by step, talked about why each thing was necessary etc. I was a little nervous to start with, but the moment he said "can you feel this?", while poking my scrotum with a hot needle, and the skin sizzled and split, I burst into laughter and was fine from then on.

I'm genuinely still buzzing 2 days later, I can't recommend it enough - although I do appreciate it's not for everyone 😆

Oh no he isn't.

It's up to the adult answering the question. I would say that alone is alone.

Nope, it's still just coming across as a Poundland-Farage diatribe, I'm afraid.

Perhaps if you have any friends in marketing they could give some of your posts a look over? Make your messaging clearer, and fix all the little errors while they're at it?

So what is your point then? That there isn't high unemployment, and the Guardian just found a loser with a marketing degree?

Because it seems that your entire purpose in posting this article was to sneer at someone who you consider yourself above. If you don't want calling out for being a condescending prick, don't go out of your way to be a condescending prick.

Hilarious.

Thanks 🙏

It works especially well because you come across as the sort of person who would look down on people making basic English mistakes.

Charities have both voluntary and paid roles.

Right, but the entire premise of the discussion is that these are voluntary roles. That's what the article is about.

I would hire him ten times over a "marketing graduate".

Him?

Multilingual people are usually adding a lot.

I mean, sure, compared to someone who struggles with repeating pronouns they've just quoted.

How is it for free if it pays for accommodation, food, clothing?

It doesn't pay for anything. No-one is paying them.

they are only asked to work enough hours for charity to cover these £800, at whatever wage per hour this charity usually pays

It's voluntary roles in a charity. They usually pay a wage of £0.

Whoa! This might be exploitative and bureaucratic, but I draw the line at calling it un-British.

I assumed from the picture that it was Starmer. I'd be tempted to do the same in his position, tbh.

As well as discussing how the Greens won't be able to deliver on their promises, he also talks about why Labour are going to raise tax, despite promising not to, and how great ID cards are going to be, despite the fact that ID cards were not on the manifesto.
