My little brother went on Birthright when he was 16. One of his friends (from Boca Raton, FL) was so brainwashed he went back a few years later and joined the Israel military. I never went because I was scared of going to a war zone.

I joined PixelFed after the initial hype, but the app wasn’t full featured enough nor did a lot of accounts move over from Instagram like they did from Twitter to Blue Sky so I fell off pretty fast.

I flew to and from Newark thrice between 2020 and 2024. It was shit. But that’s because it was Newark. Not because of Biden.
And nothing of value was lost
I thought deleting TikTok and Instagram would make me happier, but the scroll never ends between Blue Sky and Lemmy. Not to mention YouTube Shorts…

Comparing, visually, today’s modern NBA broadcast and the way things were shot 20-30 years ago; I believe that today’s visual presentation of the league is bland to watch and too brightly lit. I think this takes away from the game a bit because it feels less like the games carry less weight. This is probably a dumb take, but I think the games would look better if you could barely see the crowd and the lighting was more dramatic.
