It’s not stupid. It’s intentional theater and posturing.
The action obviously is ignorant. But the people doing it have their reasons. And it’s often self enrichment, class interests, and fetishising made up conceptions of traditions.
I’m sure they’ve tried and probably have some help already. The ACLU is not infinitely full of resources and the state seems very hellbent on turning TOR into spyware through whatever coercion required.
The reality has always been the brainrot. But these days with social media and mass media it’s not even hidden. Why it’s hard to tell satire from truth anymore.
