The old school style ones, no. But I'm hoping more and more progressives take up positions within the party, and - along with those older ones dying off - transform it to what it should have been for some time now. To me, the positive attention Mamdani's been getting across the country shows there's a good chance for that to happen.

Yeah, that one hit me, too, but I don't see it as similar. I think it was very spot-on considering the insane rate of change prevalent today. In my roughly five decades of life, I've watched things go from a relatively leisurely pace to what we have today where learned skills are frequently outdated within just a few years. It's felt much like watching a boulder grow and accelerate ever faster as it rolls downhill, demolishing everyone & everything in its way.

It's like the '80s all over again, just with grifters learning from Trump.

Not in this administration, but hopefully the next will lock up the more egregious offenders and this could just be one more nail in their figurative coffin.

When parents no longer serve as role models, stepping into parenthood yourself becomes an act of improvisation.

I don't know about Poland, but in my American experience that's actually better. Older generations bullied and beat their children, and believed that was good child-rearing - the legacy of which lives on in today's political right-wing's collection of bullies and their sycophants.

I'll be long dead by then. Can we speed that up somehow...?

How to get conservatives to support abortion.

Why not? People talk all the time about shit Trump says happened, but didn't.

Now, if we can just get the robber barons and their wholely-owned politicians out of the way of progress...

You're not the only one wondering what happened to the definition of the word humor. I also see so many webcomics that I think only someone whose age is in the single digits would actually find funny get posted & receive all sorts of positive responses. I just don't understand - is it because there's so much less in-person social interaction than there used to be? I don't get it.

I know I'm getting old so it's increasingly difficult to find amusing stuff I haven't seen before, but a LOT of this shit is stuff I'm pretty sure even thoroughly clueless teenager me wouldn't have found funny. I've always felt my perspectives and preference for the truth no matter how ugly put me on the outside looking in at the rest of the human race, but the feeling of disassociation from the rest of humanity is reaching heights I didn't think were possible.

Can I just say that I absolutely adore the domain name of this site? That's a great name!
