I like the remaster, it plays much better than the original of course. The graphics at first were really sluggish/choppy, but i found disabling the steam overlay fixed it for me.
I'm hoping we have fewer idiots than they have. Even conservative minded people, in their own self interest, must see how destructive the maga polices are to their own bottom line. If you run a business, it must be pretty obvious how fucking stupid and destructive the republicans have been to our economy, doubling down on stupid seems unwise. We'll find out Monday how intelligent our population is.

Pop_OS! is a decent OS, been using it for a few years on my living room PC. On my gaming rig i been using Bazzite which i like where it's going, love kde, but i can't get surround sound working and for the life of me can't figure out how to fix it. Might move on to another distribution, but we'll see.

I'll vote on election day. My polling station is in a school gymnasium a block away. Hope it doesn't piss out like the BC election, was torrential. Still made it out, always do.
It doesn't give privacy by itself. It gives us the ability to ensure the software we run isn't enshittified. We still have to trust the site administrators not to be douche-bags. Also nothing stopping 3rd parties from scanning the site and taking information about you that way. Lemmy/Mastodon are still the better alternative, but anything on the internet is by design not private.
I had 3 people in front of me at my polling booth, got out in 10 minutes. I think that is the longest its taken me to vote in years. I always go first thing in the morning, lol. Hate lineups.
