Not only was he fired, he's being replaced by someone who doesn't meet the legally stipulated qualifications. Meritocracy!

  • It seems to be very short notice. I know I didn't hear about it until Sunday or Monday and didn't see anything for my state until Tuesday, the day before.
  • It was middle of the day, middle of the week. Many of the people who might be motivated to attend are also motivated to be employed. It was also one and done.
  • The purpose of the protest seemed... diffuse? "We don't like Trump/Musk/Trusk!"

Compare with for example the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Planned well in advance to get the word out, specific in its aims, lasted for months.

Debian Stable isn't the only way to run Debian though people often act like it. That said, if you want the stability of Debian Stable then run it with the nix package manager (nix-bin).
